Great lib site, not so sure about the sunshine though!

If you've seen the video then there is no sun visible, no shadows of pigeons or transporter. Total cloud cover, these are the worst conditions to liberate pigeons, from 30 miles never mind 580mls, imho.

100% correct Derek and we should sack the convoyer for liberating as he is the one on site.

I wasn't racing so it is of no concern of mine, but from the video, it looked to me like there was water on the ground and it was lifting as the pigeons flew onto and close to it. I cannot see from the video whether it was raining, but it certainly looked oppressively overcast. That could be down to the quality of the video because it wold be done by a phone. :)

if any body had looked at the live webcam at riems they would see that it was full cloud cover at race point where they made the mistake was they lost that extra hour that the pigeons needed to get further up country before hitting the bad weather from the midlands up that how the snrpc timed on the night there birds had that extra hour to get further up country

Correct m8. I was not at any channel races this year due to house move so no axe to grind.

I feel for the fanciers who still have some very good birds missing from this race.

In this race it looks as though the convoyer was not on top form for this one or was it lack of communication between him and controller/controller ?

Dont know how anyone can say it was a descent race.

Andy, if ye think about it, that bird wouldn't have been in great nick after all its went through but managed a 360 mile single up. Food for thought, I think single up is a way of avoiding Bop and deffo a look into the future of our sport, imo
