Delboy Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) C'Mon Del the grouse season only goes from August to December. No landowner is going to let a party shoot outside the season.. Firstly Peter, I don't tell lies, I leave that to the dreamers of which there are plenty in this game. Secondly, im only relaying what I was told by an official that the convoy were shot at ,( true or false ?) don't shoot the messenger. The guy that told me is on here , he might elaborate. If they were shot at, I wonder who and why people are shooting in this area, does it happen regularly and are our birds at risk more than we know? there must be an organization organizing this. Frighting.
hotrod Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 True del , paddy docherty from linwood got a bird reported by this guy who told him he witnessed the shootings , why they were shooting at this time of year is beyond me but paddy told our fed secretary about the phone call who then called me , paddy doc is on this site maybe he might come out and tell it as it was .

peter pandy Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 I would have thought you would have queried the rumour Del, with it being the breeding season and gamekeepers or land owners would be cutting their own throats by allowing anyone walking across grouse moors far less shooting their bread and butter at this time of the year, and I never suggested or even thought for a minute you would tell porkies.

I knew something had happened that was more than just hawk attacks as I lost a hen with 3 x snfc dips.As you see Peter, the above posts validate it to a degree.

blue pied Posted May 11, 2016 Report Posted May 11, 2016 we are kept in the dark to what really happens.
