greenbar Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 is £19-99 for 12-75kg of sun flower hearts cheap?
Rainman Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 Sounds expensive to me mate you get them in some mixtures
ovy1255 Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 They are very expensive seed to buy,not the sort of seed to feed other than added to a mix in small quantities-- bit like a sneaky mix or fat mix.
Tony C Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 Buying these in quantities I believe is a mistake. Being an oil based seed they have a short shelf life and can go rancid.
hotrod Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 I. Only use these for the long races , and buy them from tesco or asda ,from the human consumption shelf along with peanuts very small bags of 100 g or so . I know it's dearer that way but I've been burnt before with mouldy seeds .
greenbar Posted February 21, 2016 Author Report Posted February 21, 2016 we make our own feeding up.sunflower is added ,but as u say,not a long life, with them, they were also selling peanuts,£24-99 I think it was 20kg bags, good looking nuts as well ,red skins
