andy Burgess
i have and still do , though not as much . use barley 50% of feed throughout the Winter . all year round with the white wedding birds . did use it for the widow cocks at 1 time too. and even experimented using only barley with 1 widow cock, and tried it on hens too , for 5 days , giving widowhood mix friday before basketing them . so its a good useful feeding i.m.o. (oh and tends to be cheap, which i like a lot)

neila
I moult mine on 35 per cent barley , during the season I add 10-20 per cent as a guide to feeding old birds (depending on distance) up to 2-3 days from race day and 30 per cent to the ybs feed

neila
feed 100% barley in winter racing its 50/50 Can I ask how far you fly on the 50/ 50 mix please, only I tried it at 30 -40 per cent one year and had a poor season over 250 miles even when I cut it back 2-3 days from marking ,although they flew well to 200 miles and great around home
