So what we have figured out here us that the 1. Moffat hills are stopping you boys racing west 2.returns from the east are way better. 3. The solway is an easy bit to race lol.

Best of luck wae yer young birds lads

We haven't raced the west for years but the guy's who have got poor racing, the east was much better years ago but not so now, its the lesser of two evils.

Yes Robert, a lot of feds at Otterburn today so a bit of fed to fed cooperation IE all west feds going together, would have helped, we have in the past had races where the whole of Scotland have been liberating in a 15 mile radius and they can't see who is doing what, but with most at the same race point we as collective pigeon men need to work together to give the birds the best chance of getting them into there own areas.

The whole west of Scotland should be liberating together in old birds and young birds after a certain distance, JMO.

Excellent post,JMO.

Sent birds as trainers with Fife Federation to Alnwick, returns fantastic 32/32

Had 6 timed in at 10.25 for 90mls 711yds giving a velocity of 1378.380 to 1374.609

Well chuffed with that :animatedpigeons:

Thanks again to Fife Federation for the transport facilities :emoticon-0137-clapping:

It's difficult to understand why Lanarkshire who were at the same race point on approximately the same line of flight as Ayrshire and Glasgow had a very good race while the others didn't. I feel some of the Ayrshire pigeons may have turned and met the Glasgow birds and from then on they became confused.

Obviously the above is speculation. No one's fault these things happen we just need to concentrate on the ones left in the loft.

Spoke to a Lanarkshire fancier today ,although the returns in the end were good it wasn't a great race ,he told me at clocks some were missing half there teams ,and prob because they were at otterburn for the third time the others managed to find home ,while ours struggled . Ended up in territory they didn't know .
