The shortest day 21st December ..... 23 days time! Midges flying about in the garden, trees still holding onto green leafs. Any out of season activity going on where you are?

Dont know where you lot are staying ???. But recently fountain iced over, Fish in the pond stopped eating and moved to the bottom, Rhubarb rotted with first frost, Agapanthas gone overnight, Begonias had to be lifted 2 months ago, Dahlias gone and lifted last week, Gladiolas gone 4 weeks ago, Grass stopped growing and had its last cut last month, Hedges turning brown, Daffodills still 4 inches under and the only colour is from the Winter Pansies and Polyanthus in my flower bed. WINTER IS IN MY GARDEN..

It begs the question: are seasons getting later? and should our race programs start later than were accustomed too?

Racing should certainly start later. early season can be quite bad at times. Don't know how it compares to the past and not having raced YB's, don't know if the season could be lengthened to cover a later start, but also this sort of thing would take organisation. If the Nationals were later, then the Feds might follow suit. :)
