Higg

The source is not a secret I have the proposal / map in front of me which came in the post yesterday along with notice of my club AGM, it is a recommendation from the management committee and when comparing this to what I recall of the existing boundary is nowhere as far reaching as the first post on this thread suggests although it would appear that the proposal is to extend the boundary a few miles in every direction, whether it will be adopted is another story.

This proposal needs 2 3rds majority to pass this... I have every confidence it won't happen...

It might upset a few of my pals my views bt I need to vote for what I believe is right for me and the rest around this neck of the woods

Its a strange situation tho George because although you might be defending your fed their will be other members of the LF doing it for red card reasons?........to be honest i am not sure what i would do???

when i first got handed the map it was before the proposal was finalised and was as i stated in my first post now it has been downsized and not as far reaching as it is now

reading between the lines john duthie gives pigeons to all the sales next year will we be extending the boundary to dundee

nope its 55 mile from coatbridge to dundee but if both birds go east and get to eyemouth it is then only 52 mile from there to Dundee but it is then 75 mile to coatbridge you might ask why was the bird there well it cant go over the top of the mountain, but it can come east from it when it gets there. and once the bird flew 23 miles more it then has still to give it 55 mile over fly :emoticon-0126-nerd:

Maybe be a bit of topic ! But I have never been in a more un settled federation in my pigeon life , why we cannot just race the birds and take what comes . One of the posts said it all ,the most noise is made by those who do nowt in racing , it seems to be about keep them out ,let them in but it don't matter who or where there is always problems fook we should all have one goal , GET RID OF BOP? . Ps I race in the tough est club in Lanarkshire fed and can't get close to the top men but just get on with trying to improve . Ps I have raced in East Scotland / Midlothian/ Midland fed but am in the best in the land now so let's show them all how it has done. Jmo

When you join the biggest the hardest fed this is part of the parcel... everyone whats a peace of the lanarkshire fed

What's hard about it if you live in the east of the fed ??. Also I for one don't want a piece of it I,m happy to fly in the mighty North Of Scotland Fed

With this proposed new boundary their is no scope for growth in the west section of Lanarkshire fed, any scope for growth / clubs / individuals to join is in the east and possibly a few lofts from the north end of the proposed new boundary ( that's if these individuals in the north can get into a club that is already part of Lanarkshire ) so for those who worry about winning fed prizes it should be the centre and east sections of the fed who are nervous with this proposal, IMO outwith possible open prizes it will have little effect on the west section where Cambuslang is currently in the best position to win fed west section positions and will only gain more of an advantage in the west section should clubs / individuals gain membership from the areas detailed above in the east / north of the proposed new boundary.

Right now I am neither for or against this new boundary I am only telling you what my thoughts are and although they are nice to get neither am I too bothered about winning fed cards.JMHO

Just read the thread . Capacity for what ,, where are all these massive amounts of birds apparently comming from . I cant see any of the new proposed additional clubs leaving Glasgow and going to lanarkshire . You might get 2 or 3 members who would like to fly in lanarkshire but they would prob have to apply to join existing lanarkshire fed clubs and whether there application would be accepted that is a different thing altogether . Hence opening up the boudrie will prob make no diffo at all so dont see what the fuss is about .

we dont want you rab simple as that its like pixxing into the wind :animatedpigeons:

you get back into ur bubble ya dafty

THE BOUNDARY SHOULD BE OPENED, IF NOT PASSED, THEN THERE SHOULD BE A INVITATION OPTION FOR MEMBERS, THAT ARE WITHIN A FEW MILE OF THE EXISTING BOUNDARY, AS I BELIEVE A FEW EXTRA MEMBERS IS NEEDED TO REPLACE THE ONES LEAVING. :emoticon-0137-clapping:
