Was that not ybs?? expletive remove, yer having disasters with obs at 160 miles, come on now Gareth.

Yes it was, it was a race you lucky if we had 40% of the convoy turning up after a few weeks, we were fortunate that Saturdays race was with old birds and not young birds because if it had been we would not have got 70-75% convoy home, figure is of course approx.

I think your figure of 3 quarters home across the whole fed is optimistic :emoticon-0138-thinking: I agree with you on one point though, if it was ybs, it would've been a lot worse. We ll see how many get cold feet when the yb Middleton race comes about :emoticon-0138-thinking:

Imo the place where lanarkshire liberated was the wrong place middleton is right in the yorkshire dales and that is full of peregrines we were at leyland approx 15mls n west of middleton lib at 8.30 and we had a good race with good returns leading birds were doing over 1600 ypm still think it was your race point that was the problem

Bloody hell Peter, right in the Yorkshire dales, what a load of Bollocks, please get your facts correct before posting.

Specsavers for you as i did also mention 70% ;) , anyway i do know one or two that have less than 50% home but have heard of more fanciers that have 66%-95%, figure wont be far away from 70-75% which is poor for a race of only 170 miles.

I got 39/43 from the race but my opinion is about the WHOLE race and not a personal thing. ;) Its not an argument of east and west Gareth, its about getting things right for the sake of the pigeons :emoticon-0138-thinking:

Hadn't at any time based the figures on my own returns, its based on the guys that have got 73/80, 53/58, 56/66, 43/60, 39/43, 21/24, 23/28, 36/44 and like i have already said in my last post there are a few fanciers that have unfortunately not reached the 50%.
