Would love to know where they came through rain , as all forecasts were saying rain was only in extreme west ,west Ayrshire Renfrew, and west Glasgow areas . My first and second birds were bone dry , ps not saying your birds weren't wet , just doesn't add up .

I said it on sat it was pissing down in Central Scotland all morning and as far west as I could see over the forth to the Armadale hills with the west in the wind that should have put your birds over that area so 10/20 ml of that would explain the birds being wet but what happened to the theory if they get a good start they will come threw rain I believe they will and controllers can't wait to get it perfect all the way home yes the controllers that liberate birds like the nipa did should be removed no excuse for that but here wee go looking for some one to blame it an accumulation of a no of things the biggest being Percy no doubt about that here but that's doo racing for us the one week wonder will be forgot on on sat afternoon it's happened for years

It was Rab, From Carstairs into the Forth Valley from 10.00 till 18.00 hrs.

Can I say something about the numerous folk blaming the losses on yearlings etc. not being experienced enough. The whole of my team were yearlings, lightly raced 2 year olds latebreds or latebreds and my returns were 39/43.

Love it,BANG goes another theory.

I've also been talking to a number of guys and IMO you're getting this wrong , I.E. A few have got decent returns including yourself, Delboy, and some others that I know of or have spoken too but , again IMO not a few but many, many, lofts are at approx 50% home or less and I will give you a few examples from well established lofts with guys who have a fair idea what they are doing and have been in the doo game most of their lives with a fair amount of success right out to France, these were the figures last night.

20/60, 30/71, 12/29, 17/35,11/21, 18/35, I will not name them here but can assure you these are accurate and I have also heard of worse returns than those I have quoted, and my own returns with the biggest team out where I hoped the race would set me up for the season, 68 / 134 just over half home with 66 missing the vast majority of which are yearlings, I am not having a dig at anyone here because I don't think blame can be levelled at anyone, however again in my IMO the returns from this race are far worse than what you are making out.

I also have one reported in Wolverhampton

Got another reported in Co Tyrone Northern Ireland today and have heard of others in Kent, Devon, Manchester plus all the others on this thread, for me their are only two things that scatters birds all over the country in the opposite direction to where they should be heading, clashing and BOP, and I' don't think they clashed
