ForestForever74 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 A very happy new year to all Pigeons Basics members and all pigeon fanciers everywhere.i for one look forward with keen anticipation to September 18 th. When all we Scots can decide the future of our beloved country. Happy New Year! 2014 the year when all eyes will be on Scotland! I hope people make the right decision but I am put off by a conversation I heard today! "Hey Wullie when do you normally get your giro? Erm on a Tuesday, its Tuesday the day Wullie, *expletive removed* so it is......yes we are sorted for the valium and the buckie the night wee man! :-( We are not all like that and Alex Salmond needs to make that his starting point! I have hopes and dreams for 2014! to win a ticket from 500 miles, to see my beloved Forest winning at Old Trafford this coming September, Glasgow showcasing sport to the world via the games and a YES vote on 18th September 2014 (what a great September that would be). I have fears as well but those will remain unspoken until the right time.
john cumming Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 Happy new year to all PB users. May your 2014 be prosperous healthy and happy.
doomaloon Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 Never man we over the last 30 year have kept them going we pay more in than we get out ,and economics!! was it right to destroy the coal mines, ship building ,steel works the goverment saw they had oil and turned their backs on the people who relied on these places westminster created the idea of living on the dole and they created the lost generations because they would have followed their fathers into the factorys, mines etc. There is only one nation will have problems if independence wins and thats them with Westminster and the House of Lords .Happy New Year and best wisheswell said min
philg50 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 well said minThere is an awfy lot more i could say but i have been interested in politics all my life ,my own kids have said why do you watch or read that sh----t as they have grown up and i say because it touches on their life whether they like it or not ,the question is who do you wish your kids to be ruled by, people who put Scotland first ,or stay part of a nation that has lived on exploitation of other nations preferably smaller ,was this what they called British Empire ,aye it is getting smaller and come September think carefully about what you could do for future Scottish bairns.

walterboswell59 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 happy new year everyone hope you all have a good year guys atb
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 Hope when our decision day comes we all make the right choice for our children & grandchildrens future. For me at present the heart says go it alone, but still a lot of debating and information to try and get my head round. exactly because whatever happens in the vote there is no going back, although I live in England now if I had still been in Scotland I would never have voted for independence because I am not stupid enough to get carried away in all the euphoria, but everyone in Scotland has a vote and they can choose their own destiny but one thing that sticks out to me is that at present a lot of places in England will not accept Scottish notes and I bet if independence goes through there will be a lot more places that will be the same, has anybody actually gave a thought to the Scottish currency because it will certainly have to change somehow or other,I think at the end of the day it will be a no vote because Alec Salmond is a deluded person and so is his sidekick Nicola Sturgeon

frank-123 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 Some gamble to try out and its not a wee tenner down the bookies. It is our kids and grand children's future.Salmond has not came out with one answer his white paper told us nothing. If we end up with no currency and out of Europe it would be an absolute disaster. Mr Salmond cant guarantee any of these. So put down the tartan coloured specs and your braveheart chants. Think to yourself would I gamble everything?? Vote with the head.
