remember lads as this is the first Saturday of the new shooting season, and they will all be out in force, with wind from the south 20 mile and rain, it could be ideal weather for birds to hedge hop all the way home, I have mentioned this before, a batch of doos low flying along the parks can be very dangerous to birds, with wire strung across fencing

and shooting party's in hides, all along the border and all the way home to your lofts. so you have been warned

there is more against the doos this week, than in favour of the doos. IMO.

Ayrshire Federation will basket tonight for a race tomorrow, Imo it was forward thinking by the fed top table to insure we get a race this week . As the weather and wind looks very dodgy for sat and sunday.

Hopefully we get a good race from hexham tomorrow.

there 76 known shoot in the borders, and as 90% of the land we race over from covers moor lands i have been on shoots, where there have been, beaters shot

and italian that talk with there hands with loaded shotguns, that can scare the sh it out of you as you reload there gun. and trust me starlings anything in there line gets it, and the fact that they have partys of about 6 to 8 guys the get away with it as money talks.

I had one come back yesterday shot ,only loft flying gone straight through the bird,some lads at work go on these hunts so I asked them what they shoot they say anything that moves .
