demolition man Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 I’m one of several signal engineers who’s supposed to keep London underground running. My depot is a stone’s throw from the Olympic park. They couldn’t make it more difficult to get to work, All annual leave has been cancelled. So the Answer to your question is NO.
JADE Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 Yes. Will be keen to see the athletics, cycling and rowing. The rest doesnt inspire me though. Started to watch the football last night but went out after half an hour and watched the grass grow in the back garden.
alex young Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 Going down to watch some boxing on Aug 8th,looking forward to it.It can't be worse than the football last night.
OLDYELLOW Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 No not a bit interested in the Olympics , in these hard financial times the Olympics is only for the rich and the privileged and the select few at the cost of the tax payers , I certainly wont be watching any of it

Tony C Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 I'm going to limit myself to watching 10 hours a day and thats it, no more. I'll be cheering anyone on wearing a GB badge.
Wiley Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 I'm going to limit myself to watching 10 hours a day and thats it, no more. I'll be cheering anyone on wearing a GB badge. That's me buying a badge for the young bird combine lol
bibendium Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 Been looking forward to watching , but as a previous post said its for the rich and famous now, I heard there were seats still available for some events priced from £1500 to £2500, priced out of the working mans reach again.however i will be supporting Great Britain ( I hate the term Team GB.)
billt Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 Was just reading an article about Stan Cox, ran 10.000 meters in the last London olympics,1948, he had to take a day off work without pay to run for Great Britain, he's now 94, no wonder to-days pampered pooches break records

ALF Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 I was waiting on a huge figure of Maggie thatcher appearing and smashing the steel plant to bits
OLDYELLOW Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 They took lottery money which should have been allocated to charities to finance this shambles.typical of this government rob from the needy and give to the rich , they wouldn't even give a loan to Steel in Sheffield for them to expand and safe guard the industry for the future .
