Guest jim lad Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 w its the difference between east or west that west wind were getting all the time it will straighten the doos oot a bit gone doon the west
Novice Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 I think the program is sound and just needs a tweek here and there.I's a pity about the early start as a later one would have given Ayrshire the opportunity to join you and avoid mass drownings in the North sea.I also agree that French liberations should be on that line. The birds must benefit from flying over familiar territory
harky Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 To save any arguing why not split the fed, one transporter flying the east routte and the other one west , easy solution.lol
Big Davie Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 Too many people walked out today when they didnae get their way thats not the way it should be done if ye get beat in the vote at least stay and see the meeting out people were leaving as soon as the east v west vote was taken :o Alan, alot of the guys who left today voted to go west, they won the vote, after that they were not caring where the birds went as long as it was west, i might add i was not one of them, east for me
Big Davie Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 i for one got cot out when the vote whent for west and dident bring a ready made up race program i think the other members where the same but after all the back slapping and chearing stoped i think its a good program pout together by the body of the hall that was left the jump to stafford got over looked but i think if wee all get together wee could tweek it now its west lets all get together and surport each other and the fed and the race control team who ever thay are so all the best to all the lanarkshire members and take a quote from lenon this is just the begining not the end lolTam,altough i voted to go east i proposed we go to Whitchurch 202mls between Leyland and Stafford but it got out voted.

Big Davie Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 dear dear dear, hope you guys can get the hall booked at mid june to change for the youngbirds, short memories. :( John, exactly what i said at the meeting, short memories and it was only 3 years ago, just wait until they have no doos left to go to Dorchester, Sartilly , or the nats. As a matter of interest, thought you might know if this was true,i was told at todays meeting that the Midland Fed combine average trophy had not been won for the past 5 years down the West route, any thoughts

K J Young Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 There's nothing wrong with the start date , it give the ayrshire feds a week to get a shorter race in but longtown race point is not a good one ,cables overhead that's why most feds pulled out. The racing will be no different down the west there will still be losses.I think the program is sound and just needs a tweek here and there.I's a pity about the early start as a later one would have given Ayrshire the opportunity to join you and avoid mass drownings in the North sea.I also agree that French liberations should be on that line. Rooster J. Cogburn Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 watch your national positions getting better jmo Every bodies got their own ideas Firstly I don't think Lanarkshire's National performaces have been at all bad of late, with the exception of the YB national for obvious reasons. Secondly I think you may be off the mark when saying the route is the reason the West Section aren't performing the same in the SNFC as they did in years gone by although it does have some bearing. I have results here that are yellow with age.The West section have upto 70 and 80 pigeons in the first 100.The reason being in my opinion is that they sent over 75 % of the convoy.I've been told it was Charlie Graham who roused enthusiasm in the wise men from the east, basically encouraging them to empty their lofts for the SNFC races.Even when every federation in Scotland raced down the old west route the shift in power from West to East is there for all too see.The reason being as the East section started sending more pigeons, the West Section started sending less. So in order for the West Section and Lanarkshires SNFC performances to reach the highs of yesteryear they would need to equal or indeed send more birds than the East section. just my opinion though

The racing will be no different down the west there will still be losses. There is plenty wrong with the start date it is too early and too cold.I for one would not be entering a race with Ayrshire on the 14th meaning training even before that.No distance fancier worth his salt would contemplate racing in temperatures struggling to reach 10 degrees.Yes there will be losses either route

HiLancaster has to be the worst lib site in theUK apart from the Durham tryangleBirds have no chance as they hit the Shapto quickly CheersHomer 49
JADE Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 I would like to know how it will pay of in the long run?? if you are prepared to give it a chance and dont panic at the first bad race (give it at least 3 years) once your doos get a line they will be ok. yes there are bop but they are all over now. it will stop your doos dog legging as well. not just from the nationals from all races. and remember the 98% rule!!!
