Final photo is of Davie Cross who has been in the sport for nearly 45 years, Davie who is 84 years of age is a very quiet man who struggle's to get by with the cost of racing pigeons, without all these generous people who have taken part in the rebuilding of his loft then he would have had to finish in a sport that he loves.

As you can see by the 2 photos, it is amazing of what a difference 7 days can make and also goes to show how powerful and positive Pigeonbasics can be.

Well done Gareth in organising this,as you say what a difference in a week.

This is the man who is a member of Basics who deserves a big pat in the back for coming to the rescue of Davie Cross. He designed, supplied 80% of the materials free of charge and had it done within a week of the old loft being burnt down.

Well Done Davie Frame(POMPY), Lesmahagow

Been having online problems with this site, logged on now and just read this thread from start to finish.

Massive well done to each and everyone concerned, more so to the big fella Gareth.

Gareth, I have a pair of gems in the nest ready for weaning in 4/5 days Davie can have these if he wishes.

Probably the best and greatest effort so far by Pigeon Basics members , you should be proud of yourselves and a credit to the sport , Well done to Gareth and Davie and all that's helped , what a cracking set up put up in no time at all and 100% pure quality :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping: think the last photo says it all :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping: :emoticon-0137-clapping:

Should also be pointed out that a big thank you should be given to ISKCON who sanctionaed Davie Frames committment to get the burnt out loft replaced, this enabled Davie to get materials free of charge and also part of the human resource time that was required.

A link to the ISKCON Scotland that is based in Lesmahagow.

Mick, Davie thanks you very much for the 2 late breds, well bred and reared perfectly. It was also very kind of you to meet me half way for the exchange of Davies perches.

I thank you other members for the kind words regarding my coordination of the task of rebuilding Davies dookit, this is made easy by the generosity of many, this also includes yourself.

We really cant underestimate the work that was put in by POMPY, things were made so much easier when he volunteered his services. :emoticon-0137-clapping:

Oh forgot to mention the new loft is on the other side of the garden.

I will be contacting the local paper Hamilton Advertiser to see if they would be interested on running a story on how 7 days makes a differnece with the generosity of pigeon fanciers and ISKCON. Perhaps these two bodies could strike up a relationship ;)
