hi ovy, long time no see mate, by the way thanks for the cheeseburger and coffe that day on holdover at consett, i needed it, aye the mountains are very high but the programme has them down the valleys and the two races last year from augustas and william had them following the lochs, the velocities showed that and returns were 100 percent, prevailen westerleys help the birds in our side so hopfully we will get good racin, atb min davy.

Hi ovy,

Ben Nevis being the highest at around 1300m the birds will face all levels of terrain on the line of flight but we expect the birds will follow the great glen from Fort William through to invernes-shire, opening them up to flatter ground, Another possible route is if they follow the river spey which cuts through the cairngorms as mine did in training.

I am sure if we all raced birds in Belgium or the Netherlands we would be champions but to race birds into Scotland never ceases to amaze me ,when a 1000yard day is a good race for Scottish flyers and for us in the north east would consider it as a bad day possible clash.

Them hills and valleys up there are something else .

Nice to hear from you Dave ,all the best for 2021 , stay safe.

If you get the prevailing SW wind it would hopefully take them straight up the great Glen which would be a fantastic fly for them, absolutely 👌. Its Whats East and West that could make it interesting. I'm fair looking forwards to it all and really hope you all get great racing.

I think the race program will make for a hardier doo in years to come, I've marked the car park at ganavan sands beach for liberation,

Thanks Bobby, the basket will tell and if it's any improvement to east coast routes then it will have been all worth it
