RyanDavidson Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 Been thinking all day about racing not going ahead and this happening let's hope we get the go ahead early may
REDCHEQHEN Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 NEHU - only essential workers in the office, racing put back two weeks (April 18th) breeder buyer sales cancelled

Walter swanston Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 Maybe get some guidance from the SHU
neila Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 I can't see us racing to mid June I hope the old bird season runs into the yb season and the yb season gets extended Going to be hard to select pigeons at the end of the season. If we don't get many races
Kyleakin Lofts Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 Maybe get some guidance from the SHU When do you reckon Walter? Just for an interest. I suspect tomorrow at the earliest.
RyanDavidson Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 We all love our pigeons and want to race them but at the end of the day your health comes before pigeons things will sort it self out
Colsacre Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 How can anyone stop racing from going ahead. What grounds would they use? Covid 19 is not spread by animals or birds. Most clubs have small numbers of people at marking etc so no large gatherings of people.
shasha Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 Maybe race old birds with ybs? A dont know just thinking out loads

Walter swanston Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 OK let’s all ignore the scientific advice and wander off to the marking stations from our secluded homes should be alright only about 15 guys there.OR MAYBE NOT.
JCN Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 Can race mark pigeons with 3/4 people even at that wouldn't say they have to be in close contact. Sensible precautions in place and everyone should be safe.Antibacterial cleaning products for wiping down equipment and masks worn by everyone in premises.

If the emergency bills become law, party politics are being dropped and all parties are working together, so it is a very small if, then the police and army could be used to enforce the government guidelines. I've never served in the forces, but know some who have, and it is my understanding they will follow orders and they will enforce the will of the government. Perhaps better if we just follow the current advice and stop overthinking the situation.
neila Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 Maybe race old birds with ybs? A dont know just thinking out loads See your point I'm a bit stuck in my ways I like to race them separate maybe they could overlap 3 races in early August then fly just ybs for a couple
Walter swanston Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 Interesting Andy the police and the armed forces will be immune to coronavirus
bigjamie Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 the way things are going people will be lucky to afford to keep themselfs nevermind race pigeons people will lose jobs through this virus
Walter swanston Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 Absolutely we must not lose sight of the predicament of our fellow human beings pigeon racing is hardly a priority
tommy bhoys Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 When do you reckon Walter? Just for an interest. I suspect tomorrow at the earliest. bit early to make decisions andy we have to wait to see how this hits scotland we have a full month before racing starts going with whats happening abroad we wont be racing but we scots are a hardy breed
dun workin Posted March 17, 2020 Report Posted March 17, 2020 If it becomes a lockdown situation how will it go if you have to travel to your hut everyday.Take it you would need permission to be out.
