  2. More national winners in the Annan area it is the hotbed of Scottish national racing In one of the clubs we fly in I can account for 20 Scottish national wins ourt of the membership.... including Scotland's fancier of the year 2008 & 2009 ;) Now thats what I call competition ;D 8)

  8. Blimey, what a thread this is, playing catch-up..... a couple of points Walter - I would love to live up your way so I can get some longer distance racing, most I can get at the moment is 518 miles the Scottish national races are getting shorter.... 5am liberations.... go for it, sooner the better I say. Altough not Scottish look at the ultra long distance aces Brian Denny & Dave Impett, they both timed on the day 748 miles from Tarbes in 08 anything is possible when you have the right doos
  9. If our thick Scottish government gave nuclear power the 'green' light we could have more stations and electric but naw

  11. Most in one race, sent 12 and got 8 Open SNFC tickets
  12. Enjoying this thread watching a bit of bragging going on. Some great fliers in the North Section but why do some think they have the best long distance birds in Scotland ?? just curious
  13. I have followed this thread with interest, humour and at times disbelief. As already stated by many, there are excellent fanciers in every corner of Scotland. Quite surpried no one has had a pop at us South Section fanciers, afterall there is an anti South attitude in some quarters. When I am on the lookout for new birds whether it be Scotland or England I always go to lofts in the West of the country.... why beacause the East lofts have it easier and that is a fact. The West section guys have got it tough
  14. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Words of Wisdom from a guy that flew the best national winner in Scotland since Cholet 2005
  15. Reims for us is 502 miles, Andrezel isn't that much further :-/ :-/ National races are getting bladdy shorter..... why??? Never saw anything wrong with Niort, a real race it was, nowt stopping anyone still going there, the big North West of England clubs all go there 2nd weekend in July....... but ooops, its the wrong side of France Great thread this though, nice to see a healthy debate as to who's got the best doos ;D
