I was speaking to one of the very best and highly regarded long distnce fanciers in England this week, this guy has followed the Scottish national scene for decades as he classed it as the benchmark of all long distance racing in the UK. He expressed his horror in noticing the birdage at our Bourges race as well as how we are now turning to inland racing, this opinion is from not only him but from many others in the UK, his final words were 'the jocks are now turning into a sprint club'..... the worrying thing is.... he's right, the SNFC is now a laughing stock Federations are now dictating the SNFC programme As for Ypres.... scrap it !!! JMO.... but I'll be at the AGM.... will you

I agree there is great flyers in all corners of this great club. For you to say I show little respect to fellow national members is a load of tripe, national racing is my life, what I hate is animosity directed at some one due to where they live geographically, I have experienced this which only makes me stronger

The amount of anti-south feeling from some quarters and individuals within the SNFC memebership at that time was quite pathetic, childish and beggared beyond belief which ultimately resulted in changing to the east, of course many will deny this ever existed as the truth hurts.

Just uncovered another Rennes result, this time 1994 3732 birds 249 Open prizes, all taken on the day of liberation

The SNFC switched east before the feds, the reason being was to prevent the South from winning as many nationals.... fact, but it has come at a cost

As well as other sections Just dug up the last Rennes race result in 1999, 1st 170 in the Open result were timed on the day from 202 open prizes
