Lets not get into a heated debate gentleman, i think its clear that my friend wouldnt be able to lend me his system only for TRAINING purposes, unless someone from a club can register the rings for me.
-
The great thing about middle distance birds is they have a purpose that on a given day they can sprint as well as doing the distance. What impact have the severis made on the short middle or long distance since their time on these shores

Anyone know anything about these clocks? A friend of mine has offered to lend me his as his not racing this season, my own fed doesnt except ets due to gentlemans agreement, but i was wondering can i register my pigeons on this clock myself, and use it for training purposes?

Not taking anything away from the macs as it is a really fantastic achievement and my congratulations go out to them, but it is difficult to compare against the Belgian, Dutch and Germans as they follow a different set of rules to which the Uk & Ireland had to. Belgian, dutch, german rules https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&nv=1&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=auto&tl=en&u=https://www.deduif.be/en/reglement-gouden-duif-2016&usg=ALkJrhhh6cTA814GynRfopMs9howz1Vzhw The uk and ireland rules can be found here for those interested http://pigeon-chat.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=175689&hilit=Golden+duif+uk However, very well done to the macs an awesome achievement

I've very rarely been let down from breeding from multiple performers. Id really like to see the actual performances of both birds to say which one id prefer to be honest
-
Ive never pre paired in my life, always put a block in the box or turnt over a nest bowl so then hen can get high without trouble from an overkeen cock bird, and my pairings are changed every year regardless

Very good pigeon

Breeding season for many is nearly apon us. How do you prepare your birds prior to breeding? Do you give any special feed or supplements? If winter breeding do you use any artificial means to get the birds ready for pairing? Do you do any medical treatments prior to pairing? Do you follow any theories when sorting out your pairings? What is your favourite method of pairing Inbreeding, Line Breeding, Crosses? What do you use as nesting material? How do you feed when the birds are sitting eggs? Do you do any treatments while the birds are sitting? Does the feed change when sitting? When rearing how do you feed? Do you do anything special with the young in the nest? Do you use supplements when rearing? Just a few pigeon questions that may give a few interesting answers for anyone that wishes to answer them. Could be some nice reading for over the winter period.

Ive been an advocate for treating for paratyphus for years, personally it would be my first port of call, with a good broad spectrum and that way we are also covering many different angles at the same time. After treating for this, i would give them probiotics for 7 days, follwed by the innoculation for pmv. These i feel are the most important. Depending on the body condition of these birds id feed accordingly bandit on how you feel.

They not busschaerts but whites, gay pieds grizzles ect, are really big on the marcel wouters family of birds. And all the big name in belgium have brought these birds in as a cross with huge success. Ive raced em and they are real quality birds although i never brought in whites i brought in a blue w/f, and she has bred nearly all whites or very gay pieds, and all have scored out of her. Marcielbill on site is imo the number one source in the uk

Nice story walter
-
U are right sitting more then 10 days on 2nd round triggers the moult, widowers here only sit and rear the once, they never sit again till june time. Stock can breed all year yhough as they are not competing.
-
Very different for RPRA and NWHU union members for sure sue, ill be honest i very rarely look at where a member is posting from as pigeons is pigeons no matter where they are raced the same can apply, but obviously ring distribution is slightly different
-
Your ybs would be hatching around christmas day, ringing would be around 2nd January. Most organisations when rings sre ordered direct arrive before the new year, and if ordered from your club are around the 27th december but its then in their hands if they hand them out. So it is possible I am not telling you to do it but if you want to be competitive from 1st yb race to last racing natural it is an option for you
-
If you race your youngsters on the natural system, and u wanted to go to every yb race it works exactly like the darkness system without having to manipulate the light the youngsters will have a complete body moult and it retards the wing moult not as good but similar to the darkness. Time the big races come around your youngsters raced and bred this time should only be 2 up, in comparisson with normal natural bred january feb march who will be 5 flights plus up come the big races and bald as a vultures
-
If you are racing your youngsters natural, mate on the 22nd November then your youngsters will be on natural darkness and will hold their wing
-
Chris will travel to u also

Every day in the racing season
