  1. I hear and read the horror stories and have every simpathy with the guys, I guess I have been lucky I havent had a hit at home since I moved here 3 years ago,I live a few streets into the village and there are 3 lofts on the outskirts of the village all getting hit on a regular basis maybe deflecting the bop from the need to come further in , there are also an extraordinary number of ferals in the area sometimes numbering in the hundreds Maybe they are easier pickings I dont know. There is however a breeding pair of Buzzards not 1/4 of a mile away that never bother the birds but might also keep percy at bay a little. I count my blessings.
  2. Thats a lot of birds to rehome
  3. Not great, 22 ybs in total so far, varying in age 3 seperated. lost almost the full 1st round , with birds coming off eggs , leaving very small yb to go cold etc etc, coudnt get to the bottom of it, then caught 3 young lads jumping over the loft roofs a few weeks ago, things settled now but running a bit behind where I would want to be.
  4. Done but no one will take a blind bit of notice
  5. Should be an easy match for Celtic , 6+ then they will take the foot off the gas , but you never know

  7. I am definetly no expert in this field, but a little analogy, I used to be a keen Angler and one day in the angling superstore in Glasgow I asked an assistant after looking around the many thousands of items what aparticular lure was designed to catch? his reply YOU. seems now with all the Potions etc available the same applies in Pigeon Racing.
  8. makes more sense once you have explained.

  16. My Old man flew Stoddarts obtained from the late Jim Paterson of Stevenston in the 60,s , and had some great results with them up to his death in 2011, I still have a few Stoddarts , but find now others are leaving them behind. trying to find any out there to cross into them is very difficult as they are few and far between now.
  17. A few bargains, 4 of us got let in for free, one of Pallets stalls had Dac Pharma stuff 2 for one which shoudnt have been so got 2 Ronidazol 20% for £18(offer was soon taken off once they discovered their mistake) Got the wife a bracelet for her Athritis was selling for £35 got it for £10 I thought there were a few good deals to be had but money was a wee bit tight. really fancied the German Widowhood nest fronts @ £8 each but had no way of getting them up the road.so might order online for next year. Downside,s Parkhall lofts guys on the stand were ignorant, happy to give a price of £2000 for a 12x8 loft but wanted £500 for delivery on top.Quoting fuel and man time, expletive remove its only 4 hours up the road from them, Simelar loft from Eco was £1350 delivered and erected(still didnt get one though) Feather Merchants. Although there were a few nice looking birds for sale at reasonable prices(didnt buy any) the amount of reserve sale birds crammed into baskets , crates boxes behind the stalls showed just what you were getting.and what some of these guys are into. All in all really enjoyed my day and meeting a couple of Basics members(thanks for the whiskey).
