I think this falls into a few categories and not just good or bad Exceptional fanciers: those winning out of turn year in year out regardless of numbers , race conditions , location etc.etc. Good Fanciers: those who,s birds are always in good condition and win more than their share of races etc, nice lofts, with a good grasp of what they are looking for and how to get it Decent Fanciers , the vast majority I feel would fall into this category , as most look after their birds to the best of their ability and knowledge despite having to work and financial restraints etc, Poor fanciers . some of those who despite decades in the sport are still failing to improve on there positions and who,s pigeons you would not want yours beside in a race basket. little or no knowledge of how to go about improving . Bad fanciers. Dirty messy lofts (interiors filthy etc) birds never in condition , and carrying allsorts of illness and disease, I do appreciate that we can all have illness in our lofts from time to time but the failure to recognise it and treat it but still send to races is appalling . There are some of these in many clubs feds etc. Just my views and maybe not nesseccerily right. .
