Jackson a hundred years ago was getting Yearling on second / 3rd day. Now I never did read what he fed them on. :-/ y/b's excell at over400 miles... maize, and small seeds. :-/ But I'm a great believer in a cup can over be filled to the brim.... and the rest passes through. Secondarily, they may know what they want and need to feed on - put a wide variety before them on clean floor and watch what they go for and eat first. Next day feed them only the top two... next day same again and their choice wll differ.... But they don't know what we have in store for them the next few coming days :-/

Good luck to him. Will never have done so much hoovering up and dishes. Will quickly learn how to make the beds... The chores around the house alone now will be 24 / 7.... how the heck he'll have times for his pigeon heaven knows... And sadly he won't have any holidays to be able to catch up on them. Indeed no holidays at all lol. Boredom :-/ All the best to him.

Maybe, maybe not, but what does it matter if I, or anyone else lives in a greenhouse... Does that mean I have lost the right to throw stones :-/ No of course not, and as for being a racist, that is just laughable. If fact again senseless. So perhaps you could enlighten me, and all just what and where have I been a racist! Indeed have a prven track record of not being racist. Light tongue in cheek remarks is great for banter, an dif that is what you are implying.... get real and use smaller stones.

John Gladwin of Formula lofts on here.... Found his honest, forthright and a first class gentleman. A realist to boot. The other I always recommend highly is of course Frank Bristow.

Ludicruss to say English in a derogative manner, as if other UK. belgia etc. etc don't and haven't also done exactly the same.... Remember 2 years back when one being exported had a dead in crate. Was time of the Avian flu crap. What do he do... cut the ring and replace the bird.... Many, many foriegn birds have arrived at destination with 'CUT' rings and lame excuses if bothered. So personally if a slan is intend at the English, I, like more would deem that in very bad, yes poor taste. And no needed for it. Peeved of yes, but then you would be just as peeved of if it was from a Scots man I have no doubt! Bet a 100 shelkals to 1 that the word 'Scottish' would never have arisen.

Salt works :-/ Pigeons drink water for instance.... hawks and B.O.P. DON'T. So why does one try and find 'Gadgets' etc. and any other thing. Further the Juice of the Rhubarb leaf will not tolerate any bird. All and any bird devouring any thing laced as such quickly dies. Usually within the hour.

How that everyone truble by Hawks and B.O.P. etc. take note. This is anoter legal and working way of helping relieving their / our problems.

Have to agree with Endflight. and in our Fed their Bussearts are more than holding their own.

unfortunately many every day let them birds out to exercise. This is when the peregrine for example strikes and takes one or two. Especially in early mornings when all are hungry. Sad to say, if a bird is taken at least it might carry a preventive on it's body to save the nexts ones... Sadly if salted or not, once it has been caught it is eaten mostly.

One mustn't tar all with concerns with the same brush. Some of the RSPB do in fact care for our birds and concerns. Indeed a few years back now, the RSPCC joined force with the RSPB to find, and devise a way to deter Hawks / B.O.P. from eating pigeons. This is very true, and is of course legal and was indeed from their’ own findings. They came up with the idea of salt mixed into Gooses fat. This did, and does work. O.k. some poor pigeon will have to be eaten first obviously. But the B.O.P. / Hawk will never ever eat another pigeon again. This is a fact! Now of course Goose fat is not always attainable. But what works even better is common lard. Just mix the salt into the lard and smear on the pigeons. Doesn't impair flying at all etc. of course for starters. But at least if the poor bird has to be eaten, it will be of a benefit in saving 100’s of others the same fate. Yes it does work. It is legal and very cost effective.

Not intended for me I take it lol... if so, never received it.

numpty01 says and I quote '.... it leads to one wanting to control the rest as in ?? this way roland can carry on with his and we will carry on with ours that way theres two organisations working with similar views pob with pigeons and sobsb with all birds end result if successful pigeons gain along with bird life' Now that is just plain and simple common sense. If any one elses merits, endeavours capsize the RSPB's strangle hold, bring to the fore a sensible and workable solution that acheives what we are all wanting and further in need of, let me assure you I will stand up and applaud from the highest roof tops. No two ways about that. Personally I couldn't give a rat's behind how it is acheived as ong as it is, and that's the truth. P.s. and so it should be with each and every one of us!

But I have no gripes or problems whatsoever who supports this. Many roads lead to rome, and hopefully one will soon be trodden and get there.

1957. Was 1955 brought in for a 2 year period. Now when was the Law of Protection granted in Goverment? Further the laws that the RSPB use are different again. I posted all this months ago.... same as this petetion etc. This petetion has run for years and years. Every Country Fete and town centres. Still it is rolling on. I posted a copy of my last response from the Dawn chorus. Then I see that I haven't signed the petetion? :-/ How many times must i sign the petetion? :-/ Does quickly seen duplicate signing help the cause, or only serves to discredit it! To: ********** Roland, You are reflecting our own views about the RSPB and our charity receivesmasses of critical emails deploring the policies of RSPB. SongBird Survival has a long and honourable contact with the Racing PigeonAssociations - but we tend to argue our case based on a whole range ofpredators - not just raptors. The debate is hotting up in the media. ************************************ ********************************** etc. We were on BBC Breakfast Televisionrecently arguing with Mr Chris Packham. We are sponsoring serious researchat the University of Reading aimed at demonstrating the flawed policies ofthe RSPB and others. We are sending you literature separately and please do keep in touch. Yours sincerely Keith McDougallPolicy Director And of course much more. Beside JUST how does one know who has and hasn't signed the petetion? Seems likely that 'Voting etc' isn't in secret on this score then :-/

Numpty for someone that wasn't interested, is interested, wasn't going to spit in our tent, try and stir, etc. etc you certainly are active and taking a strong keen interest. What part of 'When something to report it will be reported' don't you understand :-/ - perhaps you could place your time being more useful in them other projects of yours. Mind must say those other threads you are setting up are also doing P.O.B. the world of good too, so for that I say thank you. End of.
-
Thank you Kev, P.m. sent. May I also say all this other SOSB's etc. etc. is really doing us all good. P.O.B. is now busier than ever. Keep up the good work.
-
As I recall Numpty said he wouldn't be spitting in the tent.... In life a man is only as good as his last word, Fact that! We've had all this out before as most know! I have spent what seems like 24 / 7 on this seat trying to forulate and get things moving. And let me assure you all things are reallly moving. However I have to have some time to myself now. Away from this too. Am going to b on and of as I travel around trying to keep the missis happy. I am as of now only the voice piece and can't relay anything with out the say so of others. Simple that too I'd have thought. For the last time, and it is regardless what any one may think. It is no good making things up to appease a few. Certainly not when others may then think they can coerse and intimidate or apply preasure them to do so. Things take time as I have posted, and we can't, and don't intend to make silly unavoidable mistakes early on, or at all. The mandate and some other serious suggestions are being wieghed up and discussed, beside much more. Other than this, there is at the moment nothing to report. I know reasonable thinking members will appreciate this. I also know some will be peeing into a head wind, grimacing with self important.

Well could be... £10, 000 in costs, then what change would there be? :-/ Need every penny for the cause and not to line others already well oiled pockets. Maybe Doncaster or a smaller one would be suitable. But then I guess the Committee will take counsel from some expierenced sellers. Like they did, and was posted by some why Blackpool etc. and them means were untangible, and not a reality. I did indeed P.M Jimmy Bulgar in this regards, and I believe him to be happy in this regard. Now what the committee decide who knows, but of course they will post as and when there is something to post.... No good making things up to appease a few. Certainly not when others may then think they can coerse and intimidate them to do so. Things take time as I have posted, and we can't, and don't intend to make silly unavoidable mistakes early on, or at all. P.O.B. I believe it will remain. Is as of now. Simply because it then has no restrictions as to National or International. Also covers any and all species of birds affected by B.O.P. either directly or indirectly. Sorry to but in on your fine thread. That is an end of corresponence on this site page. So yes, thank you so much for this fine gesture grasshopper. Very much apreciated by me and all no doubt that have an interest in our plight.
