Besides, if their is a good response, and the RSPB's real agenda does become public knowledge, does save a few songbirds after all our pigeons have been eaten, then we will have achieved something, a thing, but it won't be a nothing eh! If you want to auction it feel free to. I paid a few £ for the parents to say the least, and want to keep one for myself the y/b is a chequer pied. Buyer pays postage. I wrote back as follows: Great offer ****** and thanks ... Don't be offended, keep the pair, and donate a nest pair of late breds later on. They will still sale... in fact may do a little better as most have now a settle race team... But after y/b season is gone, or before, many will no doubt be after as such to bolster the team for next season, and season after. I will at a later stage being doing - hopefully a race Night on this site, subject to Richard and the members being acceaptable to it, with the sole intention of raising fund for the P.O.B. Fund. http://www.rosscoleyevents.co.uk/ Though I have wound the nights right down I still have call for some. Exactly how this will be done is also open to debate and ideas. Simple put though I could put up 8 race programs. Then on a chosen date, one preferably when I'm actually doing a Fund - Raiser the results will be put up on here day after. The basics will be that some will take a race sheet, or all eight (print it of) - 8 runners - and sell to members of the family. Then to work mates. Your pigeon club memebrs Sshould also be a good outlet! . Yes one can sell as many as the 8 races even. Even more which would mean races being duplicated. No problem there as long as there is a winner. Legal yes, because it is run as a raffle. No inkling / pointers or form to enlighten or point to a winner. Sell say the horses at £3 eachso that would pay £15 to the person buying the winning horse and £9 to our cause. Jockey's sale at £2 and pay £9 to the winner... or if one buys both Horse and it's Jockey for a fiver (£5) they would then receive £25 and our cause £15 per race. Yesother options and such could be implemented like totes etc. but in reality I believe to keep it KISS is best 'Keep it sweet and simple. Now if one canput it over proper, that it was for a good cause, because it would be something close to the heart. No good over doing it of course. But after the first responce one can take it from there. Be nice too - if it gets of the ground - for members to say as and when they have sold a complete race. This would be helpful in encouraging others I feel.

Yes thanks to bove above. I have now 7 offers of birds. I also am very careful, and will always remain as such in giving any 'Names' of thoses that wish to help. Of course these auction will be a tremedous help and of value. Firstly of course because of the much needed funds. A close second... umm :-/ perhaps joint first is that A. It will as Jimmy says show were are serious, and B. Others may well join in. I know one or two names more I wish to approach in regards getting on board. Now with the modern means of 'Contacts' a comittee can, and must be formed from any where. It does not mean that we have to meet and discuss in an arranged 'Pub' or whatever. But that we can trust and rely on each other. Of course 'Names' must be, and will be vetted. That is of no importance to genuine and honest folks wishing to help. But is needed big time to keep unwanted and disruptive 'Persons' out! simple that, but again it will give us peace of mind and freedom of thought.

Numpty I - like most - would much prefer you to be aboard. Your' input, and work that I know you will put in can only be of benefit. So welcome aboard, for I know, like most that you will be 100% ( Besides I’d much rather you be inside the tent spitting out, than outside spitting in lol) Once the committee is sworn in, certain things agree to, and a sensible mandate drawn up we can start jogging along. Once members, and others, start to see some plan, objectives are in place, the more shoulders will undoubtedly be at the wheel. Like I'm all for Albear to draft letters, emails as I know he has the right and sound balance. Les, well a straight talker straight from the hip.... One that certainly knows the score, White**** for his run in's with the RSPB alone is wealth of knowledge needed to set us against making the same mistakes again. RPRA.... Well in reality, I believe that they should levy every member a little £1... or too and put a think Tank, and professional mouth piece into place, one that hasn't a bias as we may well have, but a balanced view acceptable and adherent to the public when needs and such cases arise. But then I wanted Bo Derek to read me bedside stories –she use to too, well till I woke up that is, and likewise the RPRA…. Unless, of course, enough members bombarded them with propositions for a mandate in regards our plight of us feeding the B.O.P. money making pets Indeed forcing them to bombarded our clubs to make Our Feds make the Regions to vote it in! Thank you all for your support and kind offers. I’m hoping that it will be taken up soon, the sooner the better obviously.... May also, not on open public forums though, like to bounce a few views or such with any of you from time to time. RSPB are everywhere. Hence, please leave your pigeon club’s sec number to insure one is genuine that could be forwarded to me. Also I still need a couple more trustees that can veto cheques etc. Realistically three, not too friendly shall we say, for the very reason to stop any temptations regards misappropriating funds... Also any and all input for a Think Tank would be greatly received. Yes we will need a PR Firm ASAP as a mouthpiece, and that will cost, have no doubt. Yet if every member of the RPRA, SHU, Welsh whatever gave just a single little quiddy then that would be put into place and running for two years. Yes one can get cheaper ones…. Pigeon basics I feel donated and gave away this last season enough too... One can’t help but think that ‘Charity begins at Home’ eh! That's - at present 158 read this post.... 7 offers of help. Feel though that a lot more will climb aboard this wagon once wheels are in motion and rolling.

Protecting Our Birds. Of course any and all birds eaten alive will benefit and start to be protected and saved. Need now over the next two weeks to put into place and kick the ball to start playing .... Or for those that want excuses not to kick the ball into touch! Let it be I did fora while for some to digest and to see how easy it is to forget, or not want to be involved. Fine, don't be.... BUT at least support our pigeons and dip hands in pockets. Yes bid on Y/B's sales / Auctions for example. From little acorns mighty oak Trees grow, not over night granted, but that first step of a thousand miles needs taking. Numpty feels that it is a step too far.... But is willing to help. Likewise are YOU! No good hiding your head in your hands and whinging, your / our birds Songbirds and pigeons alike are being eaten alive! Like I say, the committee and how and why the funds are used will main stay a secret, so the likes of Nuptials questions will have to be ignored. Likewise, I afraid, many others. THE RSPB are a field in front, so stealth is needed, is to be used for any and every advantage utilised. I'm no fool, a mouthy git yes. One who stands up too often maybe to be counted? But if I believe, feel a cause is worth, needed to be supported then I'm there. I don't suffer fool and 'Tavern Talk' gladly either. Yes respect others rights to having a view... But you can rest assured that those on the committee, the think Tank and to all and every best intention very honest and reliable fanciers. Yes even probably the very names you would have put forward... Indeed any and every one is welcomed too, and asked to put forward their name, or names that they feel they can trust and know that they will do what is best and right in the end. Mistakes can be made.... but as the structure and aims are so basic and straight forward, mistakes should be hard to come by. Your sport needs YOU! And that is Now! I was more than quite surprised when a Fancier - No not Numpty, that is only to be expected of him lol - said he Might support the P.O.B but was all for supporting other charities. Yes his / hers pro- orgrative, and one we all have to respect. The thinking and reasoning makes a sardonic smile eh!. If that name is not appropriate, or liked, or any one has and wants to suggest a different one, please put it forward. But doesn't it just show our channelled and unrealistic mentality when we much rather give to unknown and unheard of - by many every time - donations, raise money, give away for these causes, yet just might support a cause that is intended to reduce them very birds sold etc. being eaten alive :-/ :-/ :-/ Mind boggles :o
