Saudi Arabia has its own one loft race again The Saudi Federation for Homing Pigeon Racing (SFHPR) will hold a one loft race in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in March 2014. The race was organised from 2002 to 2005 and will now be held again in 2014. The final race will take place on Friday 21 March 2014. A one loft race again after several years The Saudi Federation for Homing Pigeon Racing (SFHPR) has announced that a one loft race will be held in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After four editions in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005, the federation has decided that the time has come for Saudi Arabia to have its own one loft race again. In total, 1200 pigeons which must not be older than one month can be housed in the lofts about 5 kilometres from the city of Dammam, in the east of Saudi Arabia. The final race of 250 km from about 50 km near Nuairiyah in the northeast of Saudi Arabia will take place on Friday 21 March 2014. The total prize money for the final race amounts to 105,000 SAR (Saudi Arabia Riyal) or about 20,650 euros. This money will be divided between the first 30 pigeons in the final. Certificates will also be handed out to the top 30.
