  1. just ask me - you responded to someone who WAS asking an opinion about live vaccines - he was actually asking David Parsons - WHO IS A VET
  2. I only use the PMV Vaccine personally I notice there are a lot wanting to use live vaccines - but they are not approved in this country - using live vaccines (approved or not) puts other peoples birds at risk - because you have special rules to follow - and I just know people don't follow them..... ie keep your birds confined to the loft for 4 weeks To a certain extent I couldn't care less what damage people might do to their own birds - but its a different story if their actions are in anyway going to put my birds at risk.....
  3. Very nice - Hope they have a lovely time, didn't realise Teesside had so many flights (my local airport - local papers said practically closed down!)
  4. Didn't know your name was Dave As an observation - I don't think live paratyphoid vaccines for pigeons have been approved for use in this country
  5. No, I haven't B) To stay out of hospital might be an appropriate one
  6. It is a sheep wormer There are plenty of wormers available specifically for pigeons - and you don't have to guess the dose eg: http://www.hyperdrug.co.uk/Pigeon-Wormer/products/429/?gclid=CI_w9ZKP2bsCFVMdtAodNGYAdg

    Feed To Win

You won't find number 1 And if you do - you won't be able to afford it
  8. These babies aren't going to be very old The pigeons must be sent to the lofts in Saudi Arabia by 15 December 2013 at the very latest and the final race is just over 3 months later..........
  9. Saudi Arabia has its own one loft race again The Saudi Federation for Homing Pigeon Racing (SFHPR) will hold a one loft race in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in March 2014. The race was organised from 2002 to 2005 and will now be held again in 2014. The final race will take place on Friday 21 March 2014. A one loft race again after several years The Saudi Federation for Homing Pigeon Racing (SFHPR) has announced that a one loft race will be held in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After four editions in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005, the federation has decided that the time has come for Saudi Arabia to have its own one loft race again. In total, 1200 pigeons which must not be older than one month can be housed in the lofts about 5 kilometres from the city of Dammam, in the east of Saudi Arabia. The final race of 250 km from about 50 km near Nuairiyah in the northeast of Saudi Arabia will take place on Friday 21 March 2014. The total prize money for the final race amounts to 105,000 SAR (Saudi Arabia Riyal) or about 20,650 euros. This money will be divided between the first 30 pigeons in the final. Certificates will also be handed out to the top 30.
  10. I always like to have my mealie hens and red hens paired to blue bar or blue cheq cocks (usually mealie to cheq, so I have more chance of red cheqs!!) It's the only sexed youngsters I can pretty much guarantee each year
  11. Club or fed secretaries can collect (after 2nd Jan) but rings are usually collected at the NEHU AGM - the 2nd or 3rd Saturday in January - the club rings are not posted out
  12. I believe the NEHU rings for 2014 are white I think the NEHU is the only organisation that sticks strictly to the '2014' rings ideal - new rings have never been issued before January 2nd!
  13. Good Luck all who have sent (It's bloody freezing !! )
  14. And as Mark says Good Health is priceless I've been a very good girl this year (just waiting for my 'reward')
  15. Would imagine you would have to add a little oil to your seed to get the aniseed powder to stick
  16. Use oral tablets - that way you make sure each individual bird is getting their correct dose(massage neck to make sure tablet is swallowed) They certainly have worms according to the slide
  17. Lovely photos (can't see anything wrong with your legs Tammy) Glad to see you both look very well

    Candida

Mycostatin, nystatin to treat and I am a firm believer that giving your birds an acidic drink -such as Osmonds enviroboost (or cider vinegar) acts as a preventative
  25. Cos the RPRA will only know the last registered keeper - the secretary might know who the ring was issued to Same can be said for all GB rings - why bother with the secretaries of the other clubs - report direct to the RPRA! If a club secretary is going to be 'upset' by asking a question - he shouldn't be a secretary!!
