I tried the hopper what i found great for beans ,and not to bad with mixtures ,but if you try it with breeding and youngsters in the nest bluddy awful ,they pick and chose the seeds they want and the rest get scattered all over the floor wasted ,also i think it would help if they were on open hole to help regulate the weight ,just my thoughts on it.

The only place you can heat is an enclosed space ,if you give the required ventilation to the birds it becomes useless doh!!!!

I have upped % of beans to help in moult and also some of the new mixtures that are on the go now are all full of small seeds ,i dont think they are heavy enough for weather conditions and terrain up here .

Cant be a lot of them about nowadays, you would think they would be like a lot more lost in time,watered down.
