Afraid I agree I don't think I can carry on for much longer it's getting to the cruel stage ,the rspb will stop us racing because it's cruel to send birds to race and get ripped apart by bop.makes no sense to me . If i,m honest I'm getting scared to send certain birds to the races in case they get taken.

All yearlings home just missing old birds ?

Not so great for me with club van 3 yearlings missing but the big worry my Maidstone card winner and big hope missing along with a gold cup candidate .

I use it for the stock and have never seen any difference to the droppings, I have noticed they are gorging on the black minerals and causing some to be a little loose so only give the mineral in small amounts in nest boxes.

I have 30 hens not had a training spin this year hope to get their first tomorrow and hope we race sat as I can't make Sunday the next race a hell of a jump 150mls . May addi all unraced yearlings that were lightly trained last year .

Well must confess I broke my own safety code and took my cocks for their first toss today , let them go in 5/6 at time from carnwath first lot let out and then the hail started so team 2 went 15 mins later then the other team 3/4/5 5 mins intervals ,DISASTER , got home batch 1 that were hit by the hail all home the rest in 1/2 at time still 12 missing including my first 3 from Maidstone last year . And what I thought was a topper for the gold cup in future . Bit down but it happens to better than me so onward and upwards.

I give birds dry porridge oats when feeding young they love it .

Totally agree, yesterday and today have been atrocious for man and birds I refuse to train my birds in this weather even if it means being left behind prep wise ,lost 3 nice late breds on Sunday that flew the same race point the week before they just were not experienced enough to face the conditions , my fault but the weather is no helping .jmo

Just got 2 late breds , they will have learned a lot and will get a wee rest now still three to come .

Not great here 6/11 the 5 that are missing were all there last week and although late breds a bit disappointed . I sent 1 cock 10 hens the cock was always going to be my first bird as he is bred out my best stock cock but he is a pure basteward won't take a box always in the garage his trapping Is horrendous so the only reason he survives like all his brothers there is a good race in him .
