  9. hi stu ,i know how you feel mate, being a fisherman i've had a few encounter's with sea gulls, i remember one time down rhosilli ledges just about to have a bite on a cheese sandwich when i had a bite on my rod, put the sany down went over to my rod , looked back a minute later just as a seas gull was swallowing the last one whole(b**tard i thought). i remeber another time catching a sea gull on mumbles pier, but that's another story.

so far this year about 5/6 injured , 10 lost racing+training, including a multiprize winning 5yr old cock lost(eaten) training that's flown 420 on the east route and 614 mls on the south.(if i knew how to do a sad face i'd put one on).
  11. i was looking at them and noticed that as well, i put it down to-they were low so did'nt want show it.
  12. i can see what your asking for maybe it's the excitment of waiting for the race(birds away) that's got me in a funny mood. anyway i read about the system i use in the pictorial before i started racing pigeons then i went to visit them, i've always stuck to that system. the padfields.
  13. yes i get the mags every week and the pictorial monthly which is why i would'nt need to pay somebody else for their system because the mags are full of write-ups(including systems) every week.
  14. could be anything good/bad, short/middle/long. it won't harm to try with a pair or two. i've tried it myself with a couple of pairs and all have produced tidy racers scoring upto 420 mls .
  15. i'd never consider paying to know what system somebody else fly's. if your unsure about anything there's plenty of people who are willing to help for free.
  16. never mind there's always next time. lol
  17. i've hadf a look on the ring list and it's from the nrcc report to rpra 01452 713529. if there's no phone number on it.
  18. 2 races for us this weekend one from lilliers with the welsh southeast national 292 mls and one from fougeres with the welsh south road national 263.
  19. i was about 11/12 when my old man got em in the eighties , i did'nt start on my own until i was 33 in 2004.
  20. i think he was just bragging his birds up. if your happy ,that's all that matter's. most of what i hear about other fancier's birds is in one ear and out the other, i'm only worried about what happens on the weekend to mine.
  21. they'll have to work to get home today geraint, good luck. how many birds have gone?.
