  2. hi strapper, what sort of race did they have today?
  3. i noticed like you chrisss, i was'nt logged on at the time and was reading what he was saying as i offered him birds to start up, when he mentioned the 4 lofts i thought o i, and was waiting for his reply, next thing i know there's another thread from someone in the same area wanting the same things and asking in the same way. to dull to be stupid.
  4. may be she's just unlucky(or you could say lucky to get away) i got a hen here now that was hawked twice in the same season, that same year she took 3 cards as well.
  5. i bet he's nearer 45 than 15. using the youngster slant knowing people would help.
  6. what colour is she? maybe a previous injury makes her fly in irregular pattern that stands out to hawks.
  7. now he's been rumbled, he's to frightened to say owt
  8. i was going to give him yb's the other day, i think i'll keep hold them now.
  9. just ask people as you go along, there's plenty here that will give advice.
  10. i'm sure you'll find the stuff you ask for on any of the forums, i can't do links though, sorry.
  11. 2 people from dorset wanting a loft- free and stuff- free , do you know canford lofts.
  12. this as got to be a joke.
  13. my mate just had 2 pigeons drop in from newbury from friday's race.
  14. on chat it says 5-28 first birds clocked
  15. well done.
  16. i hear there's a few home, my mate in gateshead just told of 1 in hull and 1 somewhere else about 30 mins from now to him to be on par he thinks
  17. i've not flown silver shadows, but a few of tournier/van loon of van de merwe through jutla bros(similar based birds) and i found them to be good racers winning well upto 365mls but going down at 437 on tidy days, i'd say they're upto 400 although it may be just the ones i have.
  18. redcheq, would you be in a good position today.
  19. in your area? i was just talking with a mate in gateshead and he was expecting them in ten hours also.
  20. i'm no expert on earthquakes but the birds will have sensed the pre shocks building up,it's a well known fact, and i'm sure it effects the earth's magnetic field. we were at littlehampton yesterday but was away early so may be it was'nt as bad then because i got 100% returns although some had a bad race from there also.
  21. won't be far off then, i thought the shorter flyer's was less than that. have you any away redcheq
  22. any birds home yet?
  23. that would explain the losses most people had racing yesterday(except me of course for some reason they all seemed to home ok,they must have some superior homing qualities )
  24. i was told when i first started out never to put yb's out before 4 o'clock until they've ranged and had a few tosses , the reason being they know at half eleven in the morning that they got most of the day to go off exploring and the further they go the more that can go wrong, but when you put them out after 4 they know the sun is on it's way down and won't go so far away from the loft.
