hi dave, i'm not an experienced distance flyer but your build up sounds ok to me, i would give em a couple of tosses between now and basketing just to keep them on their toes. i have 2 going to tarbes next week and they've only had 2 races lessay and fourgeres and a few tosses.

were as most folk seem to have 3/4 diffrent strains in their lofts, i've gone down a slighlty diffrent route, trying to create a long distance family from a number of diffrent sources. at the moment i have birds from louella ardens,padfields,local distance family,jos thones,m gilbert,b denney,s biss,c reybroeck+sons,c gordon,r venus,b sheppard,e canon and last but not least wilf reed.

there's no east in the wind until they're past hullavington area.

by the sounds of things the first 2 came home straight away with out messing about with some other birds when the other's come home they met rain, some come through other's may have gone down until they dried off or were later leaving the other bird's . just let them out around the loft tonight, if they come out and have a fly ok , there's nothing to worry about i think, if it was a hawk that scattered them, then they may be a bit reluctunant to come out the loft. but if they want to go out ok, all's well.

were abouts in gateshead, have a mate living there he may be able to get it picked up from non-fancier.
