  1. It was ma pooler tae, mind you better wrote twice as no at all
  2. I sent 26 to Newark tonight, 216mls, the Fed have Approx 4,600 birds in the convoy. Best of luck to all and hope returns are as good as the weather promises to be.
  3. There are men still racing pigeons who have been awarded tickets in the first 15 who's birds raced against CONSIDERABLY more birds that 12k+ over five races, what do we say to the members that were 16th on those occasions??
  4. Over the years the sectional birdage has fluctuated considerably Frank, now i'm not old enough to tell you when 15 tickets was introduced but it has Never changed regardless of birdage. A far better way to achieve parity would be by number of Members sending rather than the number of birds. jmo.
  5. You do of course mean the Members at the Race program AGM Gareth?? Because that is where ALL of the above originated from. That's when the Majority of those present put their hands in the air and make decisions. THEN! We, the committee, have to deliver what the Majority want, now if what the Majority of members present at that meeting want means their birds (and everybody else's) are picked up on a Thursday for races in excess of 200mls then That is what will have to be. Ironically!!! the very reason Central Marking/Pick Up Points were introduced in the first place. FUNNY OLD WORLD>
  6. The Lanarkshire doo is from the Hamilton area Mike, so it only needs tae follow the M74 and take a left onto the East Kilbride road and its practically home
  7. Su 12 L 5812 is a Newains pigeon, please don't call Mrs Russell. Call Andy Frame on 01698 291908 Please. Cheers John.

  10. This is the Fed result for Wetherby, 19/05/13. http://dl.dropboxuse...herby190513.pdf Huge Congratulations to John Wilkie, fantastic win.
  11. Richardson/Stewart/Calderwood timed at 14.49 into Craigneuk. 170mls approx 900yds. Never heard the times for their 2nd and 3rd doos but they have a team on Fire just now. Took the first 6 or 7 positions in Motherwell Club at the weekend and looks like they've won this out the park looking at the times i've heard. My 2 are M,I,A. Just canny seem to get the spark into them this season.
  12. That's an East Kilbride pigeon Closh, Tel or Text Ricky on 07890303114. Cheers. John.
  13. Are the doos up yet??
  14. Well i have to say "TOLD YOU SO" cos i predicted this after the first race. Wee Rab has the knowledge and determination to win in any company and this will not be his last either, Very Well done
  15. Very well done to ALL the family, for those of you who don't know the Whiteford's let me tell you they are a great Family, a real pleasure to know and all the work they put in collectively is a credit to Newmains club and the Lanarkshire Fed, the kind of fanciers who receive Genuine congratulations from their peers, and deserve every success they gain.
  16. This is an age old problem with clubs throughout the Fed, i myself have not stayed back so far this season due to other demands on me, including following the transporters round the other clubs and loading baskets as i go but hopefully in the next couple of weeks i will have the time and PLEASURE of staying 'til the end at our club and loading my own club's baskets onto the transporters.#What i find most disappointing is that it is the Top fanciers who are missing at the end of the night, imo better to be a good club member than a Top fancier!! Have to say though that whether you race doos or play bowls, pool/snooker, darts, phat, football or any other TEAM game/sport its the same guys who put the work in week on week. NOT IDEAL is it???
  17. A knows JOE looks a lot older but its true he went tae school way me
  18. If its any consolation John my SNFC Section winner was exactly the same, as was her Dam, G/dam and GG/dam. Also her G/sire being just as wild without the grunting and he was my best Ever racer.
  19. Many happy reutrns Joe, i'll be catchin up with ye come December. Seems like just last week we were in school the gither and its 33 years ago!!!! Atvb mate.
  20. If the big man has time tomorrow and yer gonna be in it might be tomorrow Rab, Ps. 1+1/2 Coffee same sugar and milk.
  21. Guid night Andy, mind its FRIDAY tomorrow.
  22. IMO Lewis, the only determining factor in the moult is the nest cycle, i feed LOTS of small seed mixtures to mine and as yet they haven't thrown a flight this year because i split them after 1 round of Yb's. If i had let the sit 7 or more days on a second nest the moult would have kicked in.
  23. Hi Rab, my old man basketed ours for 5/7 days as Yb's to learn the ropes of being kept in the basket for long periods, lesseons learned young live with them for the rest of their days. Ps, i've got something for you and hope to take a run through with Callum sometime in the next few days.
  24. Thought i'd back up yer original post of Hey Ho with Ho Hey, enjoy Andy.
  25. In an ideal world the hens will return unharmed and be in a separate loft from the Ck's altogether, i say that because the Fear permeates through a loft from one section to another and that imo MIGHT knock the Ck's confidence too. Hope not and all goes well for you though. atb John.
