If asked i would struggle to name a better worker for his club or a more amiable man than wee Charlie, i'm certain he'll get to the top of the results too, if for no other reason, just to show everyone how grateful he is. He's a smashing guy all round.

Cheers Dave, imo that is better for the Federation (so long as it doesn't run at a financial loss) and your doos' experience of that kind of distance on the wing. National racing and numbers of SNFC members is smaller by comparison to most Fed's who use them to transport pigeons. For this reason i kinda think the Tail is Wagging the dog and for That reason i think Fed's should do their own thing Inland and fly the distance races with the SNFC. I must STRESS this is JMO, in no way does it suit me to have to find 2 separate teams of doos to race on the same weekend from say 350mls to 600mls depending on the week, but i think it Fairer for Fed members to have their own racing and people like me should have to Prioritise which races to compete in and how many to send to them. Seldom if Ever, do i take my personal circumstance into consideration when voting on these matters, i always think of the Majority of fanciers in the Fed and for what its worth i think all Fed officials should think likewise. JMO mind!!

Canny agree with you on this one Blucock. Fed racing is what the MAJORITY of fanciers want and members want to race from all distances against those around them. IMO National racing from inland race points will be a thing of the past long before Fed's will even consider a reduced program which would only suit the Minority, of which i am one. Its for the SNFC to make changes as it was them who have tread on the toes of the Fed's programs by introducing inland races. This would NOT suit me personally but i am only One fancier who is in the Minority group.

I timed a hen to be 3rd Section Hastings in 2001, when you phoned your time in at that time, you got someone to speak to unlike today dealing with machines, anyway the gent on the other side of the phone told me i was the first to report a doo in the West, for the next few hours i experienced what it was like to win 1st Section SNFC. Little did i know Mr Hamilton from Netherburn would be 1st and G, Rankin was 2nd. Didnae matter though, i had the experience of my life until i heard their times and still smile when i think of that day.

Haven't seen a feather since Saturday; still very disappointed in them regardless of dlfficulties they should have worked their way back

John Cosgrove has been timing in on hard days for as long as i can remember. Jim Cullen is the man to give you birds to breed you winners, including 1st Open SNFC races. This mantle used to be Geprge Brownlie's but IMO Jim is now the man to buy stock from.

Well done Derek and Johnny, £25 just sent to Marlene to cover our wager. Also a huge well done to the Moscow Master on a fantastic performance taking 1st Open. Well done too to my wee friend Mick Currie on another great race in the SNFC, not forgetting Karen Newcombe making history in the SNFC, like father like daughter If i missed you out my apologies but well done to ALL fanciers who make the result in what a was as difficult a race in the Inland SNFC National's that i can remember. atvb John.
