My father always said if you can't win racing birds Naturally you would never win using any other system. So going by his tutelage IMO! Go natural and don't pair up before Feb 14th, remember to have plenty of pot eggs on hand so the racers aren't rearing Yb's all year and race your Yb's naturally too, by that i mean just leave them all together and race them to the perch, if you get some pairing up and nesting slip them pot eggs before the hen lays out and they should sit on them after a day or 2. imo, no young Hen should lay and no Yb should rear Yb's, jmo mind. I tried roundabout and widowhood ( with a little success ) and now race them Celibate until half way through the race program before pairing the racers up, and if i kept up my side of the bargain they would be winning when raced this way. Clear as Mud!!! The other way is to make them race a system to suit your personal routine and eventually you will have a team that fit in with you rather than the other way round.
