Got a Yearling hen at 20.51. Obviously pleased to see her but would have been more pleased at 16.51 !!
  3. Just went fae bad tae worse lol
  4. you've got too much time on yer hands Billy lolol
  5. You need 5 individual lofts to be recognised by the SHU as a club. When you get 5 names apply to your local south road Fed for entry, if accepted and i canny think why not then you will become members of the Fed and SHU. Then carry on racing, simples
  6. I can see this Final being one of the greatest ever. 5 sets of phenomenal shots being won 10/8 in the 5th set, by whom is another question though!!! Here's hoping its Andy.
  7. I really should have emphasised ROUTINE ROUTINE ROUTINE, same thing every day at the same time, give or take 30mins, if you can maintain a routine, success will follow, so long as you keep them fit.
  8. My father always said if you can't win racing birds Naturally you would never win using any other system. So going by his tutelage IMO! Go natural and don't pair up before Feb 14th, remember to have plenty of pot eggs on hand so the racers aren't rearing Yb's all year and race your Yb's naturally too, by that i mean just leave them all together and race them to the perch, if you get some pairing up and nesting slip them pot eggs before the hen lays out and they should sit on them after a day or 2. imo, no young Hen should lay and no Yb should rear Yb's, jmo mind. I tried roundabout and widowhood ( with a little success ) and now race them Celibate until half way through the race program before pairing the racers up, and if i kept up my side of the bargain they would be winning when raced this way. Clear as Mud!!! The other way is to make them race a system to suit your personal routine and eventually you will have a team that fit in with you rather than the other way round.
  9. What price would you put on a Yb from this pair??

Well i went with these 3 and i think they are probably the best conditioned birds i've sent all year, only!! problem is this, if its a fast race and its looking like it, then if any they 2 hens come first am snookered, cos they hate the site of me and i will need to let them go in at their leisure (whilst hiding in the house) cos sure as fate if i try to manoeuvre them into the trap they'll be off and won't go in no matter what. Am on double rubbers into the bargain Mind you if the Ck comes, it'll take some stopping he traps like a dream fae all angles then it'll be time
  15. This is no an easy one to work out, but an intermittent problem could be an indicator that the battery is ready to go?? Only an idea cos i canny fathom this out.
  16. Ian as promised picked my doo up and Rab duly obliged to bring him to Newhouse, THANK YOU both very much indeed. The Ck is totally flown out but a few days back in the loft will put a bit of life back into him. Thanks again to one and all
  17. Aye i remember it well Brian, i was 15 and got a lager shandy in the local pub. I wisnae there for drink though, i went to play pool on a "real" table as the one in the house was dreadful. Went 3 Friday's running and straight tae bad when i went home so ma Da widnae smell the drink off me, he was Tea Total and a non smoker all his life so it wisnae a good idea tae get caught. When i got up on the Saturday morning after my 3rd soiree into the pub ma Da asked me where i was the night before!! Oot was the best he could get out me, but the last laugh was with him when he told me to get into the living room before going to bed in future. That was the end of my Lager shandy and ma pool until i was 18. Never did get up early enough in the mornin tae out smart him lolol
