  1. I was in the office the other day and the lassies were run off their feet. Now i'm no saying its perfect but the day you hand/send in the transfer form it is Date stamped, so 14 days henceforth you can do what you like with it. Fanciers being fanciers, ma self included! leave things to the last minute and the office is snowed under with transfers. Oh aye, and the phone never halted all the time i was in, which at this time of year could well be a bird getting reported then that HAS to be dealt with there and then, before they can get back to dealing with transfers. then the phone rings!!! Its easy to be critical but i know they work hard in that office, especially at this time of year, so a wee bit patience will go a Long way when most needed, like the now!
  2. Make sure yer Ob's are the first birds in the sky in the morning Tom, they'll bring them all back.

    Help

Naw, i had to kill off races from other base stations at the national marking this year. Any club base station will do it.

    Help

Am FAR from an expert Mick, but i canny see how a race going on can interfere with another action being carried out on the clock. Which only leaves the ball back at yer feet regarding doing everything correct, and going into the correct program??? Like i said i'm no expert so don't take offence at my question, am only trying tae help. Jocky or midge are far more up to date than me so hopefully one of them can help if i haven't! atb John
  7. When needs must Bill, can take it and it could be used to collect them if not for use on the Sunday. Cheers. Ps. Had to run off earlier.
  8. Ideal Bill, will be returned cleaned and disinfected after racing. Could i pick them up off ye at Uddingston on Friday night?? If yer going over that is.
  9. Never mind its no long tae this weekend....... Credit where due Mac, well done on a fine win
  10. I've had to condemn a number of the stray baskets due for use this season. If you're a Fed member and have a spare 6-10 bird basket we could take it off yer hands sharpish. Only criteria is its in one piece and you can hang a drinker onto it. If you would like it cleaned out and returned after racing that's no problem. I've came up with 3 myself and i'm looking for a few more. Must be some out there, and it would help the Fed no end. PM me or post on here if ye can help, and we will arrange to get them in place for Sunday. Cheers John.
  11. Here Here, Congratulations Sinclair. Well deserved win in the most difficult of conditions, testament to your skills, and the birds character.
  12. Mother nature will eventually find the right balance, in who's favour i couldnae tell ye. Here's ONE of many theories i have.......What i am sure of is that doos, that race week in week out, and go on to score for you, have an awareness about them that most of their competitors lack, i mean they are bound to be in batches being hit regularly but for one reason or another these doos never get hit, hopefully we will all end up with this type of bird and Percy develops a taste for a more reliable return for it's attacks. How long that would take??? Anybody's guess!! but it won't be in the short term, if ever.
  13. A think Galloway & McLeod of Stonehouse stock Swainston's. . 01698 791919 if you want to ask. If NOT them let me know, because i've bought it from somewhere.

Guid shout Stuart, 2 out of only a handful who have timed in,.
  17. That's a question i often ask myself, same doos getting done year on year but escape with their lives tae get done again!! Had an 08 Blue Ck got hit every year from a YUb, and on his final outing last year before the Gold Cup, Down!!! Probably the best condition i ever had him in and he got done. Well that's my assumption.
  18. A canny say i've had it that bad Rab, when it comes to scars ave only had 3 return with feathers out, all fae the same race, Newark but if i'm being honest with ma self i've only dropped a handful that i thought were gonna be up tae much. Started the season with a make shift team and they got found out when the going got tough. Looking forward to the Yb's tae see if there is anything with promise showing itself. I know we should NEVER say it but i do have my eye on 5 or 6 that are doing all the right things, noted their numbers and i'll look back come September.
  19. Overall birdage is 150 down on last year and 256 down fae 2011, could be a pattern forming here!! Getting harder every year tae get enough doos about ye tae have a go at the all the races so i canny see the trend changing any time soon. jmo.

If they get away at say 6am, by 3pm i'll be beating everyone, especially with the wind forecast Seriously i would go with the aforementioned Davy Donaldson, who's equal would need to be looked for long and hard. A wee tad closer to home i think Andy Eadie will be well in if he has entered, he's having a brilliant season.
  21. I got my acknowledgement letter from Borders council regarding my objection to their refusal to give the go ahead. Anyone else get anything back??
  22. Good info George Maybe take a wee run up and watch the lib, then toss my own 30 mins or so later.
