I beg yer pardon, its at the top of the "Lanarkshire Federation Training Young Birds" thread Cheers, John,
-
Nice one Alex, good idea to have this info on all the stations, as accurate as this so quickly, big well done
-
Awright Andy, the doos are going every day up to Thursday, weather permitting. Venues and pick up times are at the top of this thread> Cheers.

Here's hoping, like here, the ground is so dry there isn't enough moisture for the mist and they get up sharpish. Think 5am is a bit optimistic myself, jmo, and would lean towards 6 or 6.30. That still gives them time to hit the southern midland's about 12'ish and the temp's are getting cooler the farther north they get. Mind you !! I canny Ever remember doing well on hot days, so i'm just trying to talk ma self intae the race lolol
-
Had noticed how well John was doing this season, but actually seeing it written down it puts a whole different perspective of his achievements this season, Very Well done John.
-
Anyway lets get back tae the race itself, anyone sending something they're gonna have a Punt on?? Am gonna take a chance way ma old 2008 hen who came out of stock loft retirement this year. She's still keen as mustard on her nest and flying well when out, so a might as well have a wee go as its the last chance saloon for a wee lift this year.
-
Right, out with it, who's been talkin oot a school
-
A was on the halves Billy, about 2 spits in the bottom of a plastic cup and they were taking £3.40 a whip for them too!! Kept me sober right enough and i caught the last winner at 1/1 so the sobriety maybe done me some good after all.
-
Aye yer no far wrong there Wullie, mis spent youth comes tae mind lol
-
Me and some of ma pool team mates at our end of season bash last night.
-
Am sure ye'l get there Mark, another saying ma old man had was "good doos are easily broken" referring to their intelligence over the not so easily broken ones or those that just disappear right away. So maybe those that don't settle might no have been the cleverest tae start with
-
For wance am on yer side way that wan Walter If there are any SNFC committee men on maybe they could clear it up for us, but it defo says Tuesday for Friday on ma wee info letter. Or if anyone has the letter handy they can confirm the correct marking day, though am as sure as a can be it says Tuesday marking on it.

I started using nest felts to reduce the number of squashed eggs by birds sitting too tight, also i use Tobacco stocks because i think they reduce infestations of mite/flees/summer flies. I've been happy with both so i still use them. Cost isn't THAT expensive when ye look at the price of other loft equipment and products. jmo.

Aye LONGTOWN Only kiddin!!! Would be very surprised if they don't George, they've had them every year for as long as i can remember.

I like to start at mid day Brian, theoretically most Bops will have had a feed by that time and are maybe not SO desperate for the kill. Have never liked training in the evening, though if i have to i do, but if they get hit they've not many hours daylight to make it home from wherever they've been scattered to. jmo.

Good to hear some Positive news for a wee change Paul, atvb for the season ahead. John.

Unless you're in a hurry Mark, wait for a miserable weather day and try them out about an hour or two before roosting time. If they don't come back in they won't have ventured far either, so get your own doos out as early as possible next morning and hopefully they will pick them up and they'll think better of spending another night on the tiles. Also have them hungry when you let them out, that will have kicked in more too by morning, another incentive for them to return to the loft. I have had many successes using this method to break doos, as did my father before me, who of course i learned it from. Atb John.

They Metronadozal tabs are as strong as Anti's get Peter. Have had the misfortune of being hospitalised with bleeding ulcers twice in the past. The cause of the ulcer is a bacteria known as Helicobacter Pylori and the most effective cure is Metronadozal with Amoxicilin combined. The Metronadozal made me more sick than the Ulcers and it took days before i was on the mend from it. They coupled the Amoxicilin with another Anti to clear the bacteria but i was still suffering from using the Metronadozal for days afterwords, really really sick feeling and made my gut feel like it was on fire. Hopefully in a few days it will have washed out yer doos system and all will be well again. I recommend you go back to your old ways and you don't get this problem again. Just as an add on, old guy next door was put on them earlier this year and was totally convinced he was gonna die. When his missus asked me in after telling me his sypmtoms i told him about the drug before he even mentioned what he was on and he was dumbfounded that i identified it, but it makes you so sick in the stomach yer fit for nothing, imo the same MUST apply to doos. Personally i would NEVER use that no matter who advised me to, not for myself and defo not for something that weighs less than a pound in weight. jmo mate.

Good tae hear but am sure they'll get hit at some point Robert, just no too often i hope, then we can count ourselves lucky.
