  9. Just out the loft and i've picked out 12 to send, my original plan as said above was to empty the loft (40'ish) but even now its VERY cold and that's at ground level, where we are less exposed than the doos flying 50/100 feet in the sky. Higher they go the colder it'll get too, so Caution is my mantra for this race
  10. Was out with the dogs earlier and the wind is already turning Northerly, and very much colder. Was intending sending my lot this week but my intentions have changed with the wind!! I would rather keep them fit for next week, or the following one for that matter than Ruin them this week in these Cold winds for the next month, or even More for some doos!! For what its worth ma advice is for all PB members to be very careful no to put all yer Eggs in one Basket, especially our members who like myself have had one eye on the jump for next week, a bird in the Hand and so on!!
  11. The late great Andrew Deans once said to me that a hen due to lay should be off the road for 6 days. 2 days before laying, 2 days actually laying and 2 days afterwords, i kinda stick to that. Though i can't remember a single occasion when i won with them so soon after laying, 5/6 days after laying has served me MUCH better over the years.
  12. I fear yer right Andy, think i felt it turning northerly already when i was out with the dogs tonight, just reported on the BBC weather that the temps are dropping to near FREEZING at the weekend too. Was intending to go all out this weekend but am adjusting my numbers accordingly. Maybe just stick with a half dozen or so. I'd rather keep them fit and jump them in next week tahn ruin them this week for the next month or so.
  13. Dunno Frank, i picked the baskets up too!! May have been 12 baskets, so roughly 330 i'd guess.
  14. Good shout Geoge, mon lads lets see if we can give wee Jim a help out here. ( Mind you!! Cummy might want tae keep it noo he knows where its fae and ask for a transfer form lololol )

    In Today

Got a Mealy Ck in today that has been hanging around my garden since Sunday/Monday? SU 08 L 9068 is its Ring No. Strange one considering its 5 yrs old wearing an ETS ring and it canny be more than 15/20 mls from home
  18. Plenty of true words in this.
  19. Author unknown to me............6 hours sleep for a man, 7 hours sleep for a woman, 8 hours sleep for a FOOL!! Figure it out
  20. Hi sadawy, i do Not think there is anything wrong with the ets clocks or rings, and if you say someone else puts this man's birds into the race basket when the birds are leaving then No Way he can cheat at the club either. You would then have to ask yourself HOW is it possible for the man to get these results so often and still have the birds to race the following week. IMO. he can only be getting the birds out of the baskets AFTER the transporter leaves the area. He would of course need the driver to Help him, the driver could maybe be a friend of his who does not race birds, so has nothing to lose by allowing this to happen, or maybe he is Paying the driver for his help, but i'm pretty sure that the Cheating, IF there is any Cheating, then it happens After his birds are basketed for the race and have left the club. I do hope it turns out the guy has found some system that suits him and his birds and all his results are accurate and true, but i very much doubt it by what you have described. ATB John.
