Sitting in the garden now looking at my poor wee pigeons, tired and depleted in numbers, wondering where the terrible weather that was predicted by many has gone??? 19degrees and glorious sunshine!!! Yet only a couple of days ago I was frantically trying to organise my life around THURSDAY NIGHT basketing???? expletive remove

i think the last few months the weather forecasts have "never" been more wrong. it is a nightmare for us who use them as a measure to protect our stock

That's the change in the jet stream now with the west or nor west air flows coming in from the Atlantic . It's took its time to Change this year though. Noticeably colder last few mornings too.

Sick as a dog I’m 37 down only 16 home missed work for what it’s time answers were given to what went wrong honest answers coz I’m not the only one that lost lots it’s an utter joke thousands of pounds down and before we start don’t blame bad doos or hawks this was a people error and I’m still angry as f— k

Being honest would be a start but you get no answers you have to ignore it and suck it up but not this guy I’m not having it feel like shutting the doors it’s an utter joke while it continue coz folk got no back bone

now robbie you know better thanask that, 15yr i been libbin yir doos and mine so hey dinna get me annoyed, yes i waited for the fair weather with the broken blue and the sun tryin ti break and the doos were itchin tae go, a good lib followed and if nae happy then give alec mcgubbins a phone he watched the lib, all liberators try there best at racepoints but it can be a tricky job at times, atb davy,

i see it robbie and aye we do wait for the blue or sun if its in the mood, no birds leave unless there is orientation by blue or sun, high cloud n bright n good vis for 2 mile normally ok but only with old birds,convoy over say 600 usually leave in a batch but 1000 or over allways split into batches , i think its a natural thing for to combat predation, the way it is now ime afraid, y/b you need broken blue with sun if poss but in early races you might get a percent of the convoy who never seen a race crate so on lib can really ef up birds trying to get a line, this is the thing everyone should be in with y/b frome the start nae 2 wks later, race prog at fault there,omo of course.

race controllers are on to a hiding to nothing if they take the forcast as gospel and most do and its wrong its there fault if they go with there instinct and its wrong its there fault these guys cant win no matter what they do no race controller tries to lose pigeons there neck is on the line every week doing a thankless job nobody wants unless its an act of pure stupidity these guys are blameless give them a break guys or put your name up for the job weather forcasts now are only as good as the man who reads it an educated guess imo nothing more

Well said Walter, everyones an expert when it doesn't suit them. If they had timed in the winner, the race controller would be the best ever!!!

long ago birds where never libbed with sun and moon in the sky at same time and it was this weekend maybe now its not taken into consideration there is too much thundery weather around just now so this could be another reason no one is forced to send your all your own race controller
