William Reid Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 100% Sparrow hawk remains behind our loft it must have happened on Friday, our birds are locked down so a streeter has bit the dust. The sparrow hawk female or male is easier to move on than a cat.

Only problem is you will prob need to do the same next year .
bullcock Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 The sparrow hawk female or male is easier to move on than a cat. Just before we locked our birds down for the winter a hawk laid siege to the loft and every time the birds tried to land it hit them, eventually it was dark and the birds landed on the house roof and the hawk hit them on the slates and eventually got one, we couldn't do anything about it and we locked them down, I think this will be the same hawk, roll on the spring.
peter dempsey Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 well done JSD if only other fanciers kept there flying out birds warm like you we would not have birds getting the dreaded Bird flue LOL
