The Gold Cup and other races 500 miles plus aren't meant to be easy, the birds that score in these races are held in the highest esteem by all of Scotland and the rest of the world, condition, health, fitness, motivation stamina, valour a great heart and mind and a good manager are what it takes to achieve this.

This race is for dreamers and we all dare to dream, 550 miles into the central belt for me, roll on next season.

I thought it was about getting good steady racing with good returns? ??? Well that's what was said when the race points moved east anyway! Lol

Yes, we want good steady fair tough racing, and good returns, but even if conditions are perfect and we get a good steady race the returns are down to the birds being up to the job in the first place.

Making the races easier to get better returns of sub standard birds is a step backwards, 500 plus miles is tough even if all conditions are perfect, and a large percentage of birds still won't make it.

That's what make us admire the birds and fanciers that succeed at it.

La Ferte Bernard is on the same line as Alencon, but about 15 miles south, so I would stick with Alencon as we have had good racing from there, although I have nothing against it.

And Falaise wasn't a bad race point either if I remember, I do see the advantage of holding an east line as the channel is shorter and the measurements are fairer.

the birds should have been libded with the snrpc

SNRPC decided to 'breakaway' and destroyed some Fed's in the process, let them stay on there own with there Sh!ty little convoy, they will in due course destroy themselves...

reims.. ancenis.. ypres.. roye

lets stick too a programme instead of chopping n changing every year there is a bad race, it could benefit the pigeons long term more so at reims and ancenis when the majority of the convoy have probably been there before...
