The SNFC Presentation pictures were not published in the BHW, personnel I think it's a poor show that the premier club of Scotland didn't post the pictures,whats your thought on this?

It's a long time since it was the premier club in Scotland Robert. Last year they had a program printed with just 6 pigeons on it and they managed to misspell 2 of the names. Peanuts and Monkeys come to mind!!!

Sorry Robert, in all earnest I believe the pics should be in the RP and BHW the week after the dance. I do know it can be difficult to get an entry into the papers at times due to over prescription for space but by now they most certainly be in.

IMO an approach from the SNFC to the BHW with a request that the Presentation night article be published in the next issue after receipt. They might get chased but they might get prioritised, ye don't get shot for asking.

Still the premier club for me too. It may be worth establishing, if the photographs have been sent to the BHW for inclusion in the report, or as John Quinn states, due to lack of space the BHW have chosen to omit them ??

Either way, this should be corrected to give the these successful fanciers the recognition they deserve imo.

We don't have the copy now but it said the pictures will be in the year book indicating that they won't be published in the BHW, so it's nothing to do with space or timings, unless someone can shed a more accurate light on it?

Hi Mark,

Yes I am disappointed the pictures weren't published, this is were the credit for all the hard work recognized and we do like everyone else like to see our performances recognized in the press, but I think we already get plenty recognition for our performances over the years, we get enough congratulations from the top fanciers in the country to confirm that.

John, I'm looking at the 2015 pro. and you say that there is only 6 birds on it, should check your facts John, I count 7. As regards photos not appearing in BHW you should take that matter up with them. The full pro. was printed

in the BHW.

I used to write articles and send to BHW and RP. The BHW would edit the articles, shortening them to such extent that they often made no sense, and sometimes would not print the photos. The RP took as long as 2 months to print! I gave up writing...!

I used to write a column for the BHW headed 'The Show Scene'. I can be honest and say that it was printed verbatum to what I submitted, and never edited. Any photos sent with the articles were always included. From article submission to print was usually about 2 weeks. I always sent mine direct to Cameron Stansfield via e-mail. Maybe the current editor prioritises things in a different way.

ye canna race fish, 20 years out of sport, itl be s few years afore I race channel, its sprinters ive got, I was actually being friendly asking why you not racing, I pass your lofts most days going to my shop, nice set up, seems a shame not to race, into a good area too, but if you've nothing nice to say........ah well nae loss to me :emoticon-0136-giggle:
