daviedoo22 Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 My linkNever realised how quickly this took affect over in a matter of seconds. Unlike a pigeon being ripped to pieces and eaten alive. RIP poor percy
grdkeith Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 Pretty horrific way to kill anything, not something I would be willing to do
bigbill Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 very sad day Jim, the lost of a good pigeon,
daviedoo22 Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 Pretty horrific way to kill anything, not something I would be willing to doEach to there own George. But no doubt about it these predators are having a massive impact on the future of the sport of racing pigeons
grdkeith Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 Totally agree but they are only doing what nature intended them to do,a friend bought me a morning at our local falconry centre 5 years ago and as I am a bird lover and not just a fancier it was a huge eye opener for me
Guest bigda Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 A thought ,they where brought into the towns ,to eat street pigeons still see plenty Streeters going about.

daviedoo22 Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 What poison would that chap of used?Don't know but every fancier should have some. Problem solved!!
Blue Tooner Posted July 17, 2016 Report Posted July 17, 2016 Be careful with your comments lads..this is an open forum! I know for a fact that there are eyes watching us😶I personally think that what this guy did to this poor falcon was intolerable....to lace a pigeon with a pesticide and release it in an area close to a peregrine nest is inexcusable...i dont want to associate myself with this type of fancier!! expletive remove ... Imagine what damage could be caused to the peregrine population if the pigeon fancy decided to let treated pigeons go on the same weekend.....carnage to these beautiful birds of prey...i for one would be very sad as a bird lover😕 And would not be part of any such scheme!
yeboah Posted July 17, 2016 Report Posted July 17, 2016 That is dreadful newsThose beautiful endangered birds are now down to 5000 breeding pairs

Again I must agree with you but once again we have a post suggesting mass action to dispose of the problem and it ain't going to happen its just rhetoric
