paddymac Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 Nice to see a few birds making their way home, they never gave up no matter what obstacles and injuries they endured. Hearts like lions.

VMS Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 Got my good blue hen reported today in HollandAt least you are getting some info as to were your best birds are which is a plus, been thinking that the birds that are now showing up from this race have had a helping hand along the way
yeboah Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 At least you are getting some info as to were your best birds are which is a plus, been thinking that the birds that are now showing up from this race have had a helping hand along the wayWould agree That's the first time since I started in 1972 that I've had a Doo reported abroad Mind that's the first and last time I'll send them that Far East
VMS Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 Would agree That's the first time since I started in 1972 that I've had a Doo reported abroad Mind that's the first and last time I'll send them that Far EastHas nothing to do with the race point mate this is the first time in many years I have not scored or had atleast birds return from Riems has always been a hard but fair race and would certainly promote Reims again as the gold cup race albeit 2016 being a disaster.Royes East,Ypres East great races has nothing to do with easterly race points
Dooheed 5 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Still don't understand why we shifted fae Alencon and Clermont ?? Canna remember any Disasters from these ???

peter pandy Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 No just poor returns consistentlyNae disrespect Andy but the Nat positions you have itemised are all from East race points and I would not want to go West either "IF" I wis you.
JohnQuinn Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 With what seems to be a lot of Doos still on the continent I reckon clashing was the cause. Not for one minute do I believe the race point contributed to a bad race. Have thought for some time that the race controller's have been found wanting. Since the fall out of the Yb Cheltenham/Leicester debacle that forced Jim Hannah to resign the controller has been making terrible decisions, right down to times they are liberated. When we get heavy losses from a variety of race points then IMO it has little to do with the race points but a LOT to do with controller's decision making and it's been woeful at times. Jmo

JmoAtmospherics f up the doos at Reims imo there were huge thunderstorms in Europe the night before the race that's a fact far too many experienced top doos missing for it to be clashing.
walterboswell59 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 i agree with vince not the race but maybe the race point but also the video of the lib clearly shows a very strong wind blowing from left to right across the transporter catching the birds and battering many into the ground on one side and blowing them towards a nearby road with a lorry passing at the other side of the transporter we dont see if the birds got across the road without being hit or not so who knows but it looks obvious that the wind strenth was not taken into consideration at the lib site there was no way the birds that hit the ground with such force were going to fly 550 miles after that the snrpc had a much better race im i correct in thinking they lib at a different lib site if not why were our birds not libbed at the same time as them which would have made sence something stinks about this lib imo and peoples best birds have suffered for it did not want to comment before as i was still hurting with anger but the video of the lib tells the tale for me incompetence simple as that and far to many people with there finger in the pie on race days
frank-123 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Thanks Frank Got it sorted one of the birds we met in Amsterdam with the Clydesdale midweek is seeing to it lol Brillant didn't know they Amsterdam ladies could sort out courier problems too. lol
yeboah Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Brillant didn't know they Amsterdam ladies could sort out courier problems too. lolSeemingly Frank Heard Peter 2010 say on the bus that they had cured his YBS
frank-123 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Seemingly Frank Heard Peter 2010 say on the bus that they had cured his YBS Is that all the sorted.... I was out looking for a loft visit while I am in Honduras today.. birds has the same meaning the world over. Scottish streeter comes to mind.
Dooheed 5 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 No just poor returns consistentlyConsistently Good returns is hard enough to get at Fed Level nowadays let alone National level ??
JohnQuinn Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Atmospherics f up the doos at Reims imo there were huge thunderstorms in Europe the night before the race that's a fact far too many experienced top doos missing for it to be clashing. At the end of the day the Race Controller decides when they get up. If as you say there were thunder storms just hours before lib then he should have that info and be able to make a decision based on it, but the SNFC racing has been shambolic year on year not just from Reims this year. They already lost a HUGE MAJORITY of the Messac birds the year Davy Elliot won it. There are plenty of examples of bad controlling from then until now and the same men are still in place making bad decisions that are costing fanciers Years of work put into their Doos tae get them ready for these races. A know fine it's a thankless job before the bandwagon starts but a man should know his limitations and do the right thing.
