robbiedoo. Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 What about people who work weekends and rely on ets and sometimes are not at their lofts for every race in a season? What about the fanciers that like a long lie
naedoos Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Who wants to leave their loft after timing in a cracker and you know your preparation was good and your favoured bird is still flying, it would be a total injustice if you had to leave your loft on the most important moment of the year. You can buy a mobile for a tenner these days or even mooch an auld ane aff a mate, I really think you guys that are moaning are being a bit petty. Course you can go to the AGM and vote against it if ye feel that strong. As I said earlier I don't wish it to happen Have a great 2016

bullcock Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 A lot of older fanciers won't use a mobile, and my original point is ,what is the purpose of this new rule what risks do we have that this will solve?
blue pied Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 A lot of older fanciers won't use a mobile, and my original point is ,what is the purpose of this new rule what risks do we have that this will solve?Everyone I know owns a mobile? 99% of British had one
dal2 Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Everyone I know owns a mobile? 99% of British had oneThats no really the problem Andrew. Why is the question not how
naedoos Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Thats no really the problem Andrew. Why is the question not how We may as well ask why try to change 3 racepoints as well??
geordie1234 Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 I tried to call the libline from my mobile in the bedhampton race and it said the number was barred from my phone.... I'm with Vodafone
blue pied Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Thats no really the problem Andrew. Why is the question not howI know that stevie, don't think it should be passed but if it did get passed and you timed a good yin and didn't have a mobile ye wid one from somewhere to phone it in, that's a fact.
VMS Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 I am all for it the older fanciers had to report their timers via Telegram within the hour 40/50 years ago so don't see why they could not do the simpler things as using a phone today.I am also in favour ov the new race points hope both get passed. :emoticon-0167-beer:

tiger Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 You said you are all for it, which is fine, but nobody on here has given a solid reason for needing it and what issues it would solve? why do you think there,s a problem ? just maybe its so other people can watch the race unfold ? btw am against it
geordie1234 Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 With what Tiger said about watching the race unfold.... I like that idea as I've seen it with the internationals etc and even national racing in England....think it makes things a bit more exciting

dal2 Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 but you watch the race unfold on your i phone or lap tops at no extra cost to you ive been told top table have looked at thisSurely costs were covered by my entry fee
hotrod Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Well I'm in favour def 100% , got to move way the times . But I think either a call /text to report your first bird or an e.mail. Within an hour of timing in . Think the text idea is prob the cheapest and it's written down instead of ,can't understand the message left on lib line . All this talk of guys not having phones is dung IMHO .
