Well I have a few years behind me and I've NEVER seen rain like that before,several parts of the village are flooded,houses etc.Village cut off along with other villages and towns,cars submerged etc.Had a quick look out of the back door,garden level with water and running out via.the gate down the footpath.Local school looks like it might have been lucky.

This happened in your area not so long ago Lindsay. You would have hoped the authorities would have taken preventative actions. :)

That would be Cockermouth Andy,they did a lot of work in that area,haven't heard of any major problems there,not saying there isn't,tomorrow will tell.

Unfortunately Andy a lot of houses flooded in the village and surrounding areas,the old folks bungalows just up the road from me were among those flooded.I also think where we keep our pigeon baskets etc.would be flooded,will check later. :emoticon-0127-lipssealed: :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

Looks bad Lindsay, theres another storm forecast for later today.

weve had a lot of rain here too, a few fields flooded . only seen it this morning when out food shopping, it must have fallen overnight as i slept :emoticon-0127-lipssealed::emoticon-0156-rain:

This is what happened to me on Sunday blew loft 3ft forward off the breeze blocks 2 ft up, smashed floor in trashed it I think it will be worse after tonight.

All birds are safe and sound in a 6x4 she'd till next week had to order a shed off the internet.

Gutted for the guys who have loft damage due to high winds, ave experienced this myself with lofts sitting west, and always the strong west wind to cause problems to do huts. :o
