Anybody used the chevita vaccine for paramyxo ?

What surprised me was that Retford sent me Chevita (live vaccine)for Salmonella. I didn't know live vaccine was authorised in the UK, but Retford are a UK company at the top of their game, so it must be OK.

Would be very surprised if any live vaccine is allowed in the uk for pigeons,legally that is.

I bought the 200 dose 2year ago used it between 3.fanciers no prób And cheap.

Only Colombovac and Nobilis are licenced for use in the UK, Chevita are not

not 100 percent but i think thats what dell used and it made his birds ill

Birds would have to have a underlying issue for a vaccine to make the birds seriously ill chevita is a top vaccine but not licenced in the UK or Ireland

 

My preferred way would to vaccinate live and dead vaccine about 6 to 8 weeks apart but as I said its not licensed

I wasn't worried about it because I trust the company, but now I understand how this came about and at least I didn't self prescribe.

No it was my poor post caused confusion Lindsay, i was looking for the 100 dose Colombovac right enough but couldn't find it on Hyperdrug, all i could see on their site was a 50 dose dual vaccine for pmv and pox so i looked on merca and the 100 dose Colombovac was easily found on there.
