Mr bilsland is a very good fancier but until he wins from 500 ml with the consistency of Peter virtue you cannot compair the 2 , the area he fly,s has the biggest advantage of any area in Scotland and am afraid most in the west don't know what it's like to fly there so to keep on about the mans performances is not what is all about , he no longer fly,s in the west section so let's get on with flying the birds from our own location be it good or bad .

He has 35 miles on the winner and was 114 ypm behind. B1, C1 and D1 were all better performances than E1 but the best of the lot was A1 (the winner)

On reflection I apoloigise the winning bird was the best performance of the race but IMO it was closely followed by Davy Elliot. And Derek Hay , but that's my opinion.

Imo you cant compare snfc results with snrpc results

Plus how long does it take to build a distance team? This was his first year with 2 year olds pretty sure he got a gd one in the gold cup

just counting his national tickets 57 not bad in one year

Brilliant performance to get that many tickets flying from where Billy is but can you tell me how many tickets he won in his last 10 years flying in the west?

Ps...im5 not trying to be smart it is only a question? ??

why?

Because imo the snfc has much tougher competition. .. bt dont get me wrong some times winners in the snrpc have been the best doos into scotland on that day.... for example hotrods winner

The first 4 lines upto "train stopped and released them." is spot on. The west section twice this year have never had a better chance to win an SNFC race for years. Normally the statements on here is "Easy for the East boys in that wind" (west or S/W) As for the YBN with the exception of the winner and Mr&Mrs Elliot, the rest were ta-ta time! as to where they should've been, and yes the east dominated again...Some will say its due to the fact that there was only 100 odd pigeons away and 70 odd in Solway, absolute p*sh. When the conditions are suiting your region, if your pigeons are good enough, properly prepared/trained/fit etc, and with a wee bit of luck from BOPs, the top fanciers/pigeons should be up with the leaders. This is not a dig at the west, more a wake-up call to some. My opinion is you've started racing the west route and some got their youngsters to 220 miles, in difficult and testing conditions on the day (headwind) but IMO you have to stick at it, and push the youngsters on, with the west route, and not teach them to fly round corners (east route), do your bit to sort the BOP problem and I'm sure your aspirations will be reached. This is only the opinion of someone who flys 40 miles w/n/w from the Eye Valley area in the same section!!Lol..

yes after some thought the guys in the west must ask them self why are the birds not coming up the nith valley any longer, is there a problem i still beleive the trains still come up that way, and there where many a good result when they cam up that way, what has change and what is needed to recitife the change, is in the west flyers best interest to sort out, do you realy want no noock yer pan in year in and year out. getting birds to come from eyemouth then come across only to find out the clock is now ticking again for over fly further north, the NAVVYS BY HAND cleared the path for the railway, its about time we made sure it was still clear all the way up the line , :emoticon-0126-nerd:

geordie imo irrespective of location or who your flying against if you clock multiple birds at 500 ml plus on the day your a top dooman no question look back and see the last time anyone clocked multiple birds over here at that distance even with a helping wind its the same at the ybn if the winner can be south of you and doos are clocked in region d north of you and sometimes even in here west of yous that tells me everything

Sorry but check the records Peter has won at the distance with the Snfc when the birdage was far greater than it is today , but it is not a competition between them it is a fact they both fly in a very good area and we don't ( west sect) .

Billy is obviously a good fancier that goes with out saying, but hadly looseing any ybs tells you it's all about location.any fancier that knows his stuff will clean up down there think that was the point he himself was out to prove by moving there in the first place.

Think u will find its,not billy that's,the doo man but his partner is,the man used to fly in unc and for some reason isn't liked down there

And,as fir overfly he only gives,Edinburgh between 14/19 miles from the borders a joke
