atlantic Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 i dont know the reason for this guy being knocked back, dont even know the guy in question in fact, but as a member of the snrpc i can say this as fact,HIS APPLICATION WAS NOT PUT TO THE MEMBERS,this was decided at comitee level, and in my veiw for hotrod to say"due to personal attacks on me and my club",is an utter joke as he and frankdooman could have put this to bed straight away as they are commitee members and know the reason full well,i can only assume that they are embarresed by the reason.

me Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 There is no absolute right of membership to any organistion. For instance if an individual has a deserved reputation for slagging off a certain club or fed, that is a good enough reason for refusing membership of the organisation in my opinion.
rasbull Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 It is exactly reasons and political jokes like this that is killing the sport. I race in Wales, so no neither the organisations involved nor the people in question. I find it sickening a member can be refused acceptance to a club without a proper reason. Pigeon men are there own worst enemies on times. When numbers in the sport are dwindling and we are trying to encourage new members into the sport, we treat our own like this! Baffles me, but if this chap has been refused for the quality of the birds he flies, then shame on you! If it is for some other valid reason then at least the man could have had an explanation in the letter he received! Pigeon racing is a dying sport...fact. We are speeding up that process by cutting our own throats! No club should have a right to ban anyone unless they are a defaulter or a proven troublemaker. If there birds are too good......get better yourself! THAT IS SPORT!
eastcoaster Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 It surely can`t be for his performance`s he only won a yb national ! while in it`s self a great performance it is no fantastic acheavment on it`s own to merit refusal, it`s more likely to be a local thing or about his personal dealings !! Who Knows or cares .
thunderbigbaws Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 due to the personal attacks on me and my club im offskie for a while ,i'll pop in now and then and check for pm's , hope all the decent fanciers out there have a great 2009, the rest can go and you know what. bye bye is that the toys coming out the pram :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I agree, but then the snrpc shouldn't make it look as if they accept everyone flying to a loft situated in Scotland as quoted
Guest gladdo Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 well to me pigeon racing is all a fix.. this lad should have been allowed but he must be some flier as all i can say is they fear he will win everything !!!!!! joke
sapper756 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 I think we should all just calm down(myself included) and see if the individual involved A, wants this discussed on an open forum, and B. wants to let others know why he was refused entry. In my opinion, I think this should be well left alone, and possibly locked, as there are 2 sides to this, and from experience, this usually leads to hassle, which I,m sure, we can all do without. This is only my opinion, and hope I have not offended anyone, in posting it Cheers Sapper
WulDon Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 William Hay is a good pal of mine and a more genuine fancier you couldnt meet, his generosity whether it to be fellow fanciers, clubs or organiastion extends past any other i know. Without a doubt William is Scotlands Best Young Bird flyer, and for this reason the SNRPC have declined his application... so sad, but unfortunately true! His results at YB SNFC level have been nothing short of breath taking in recent years, and ye i suppose joining a smaller organistaion it would be very likely William would 'hammer' the SNRPC when it comes to young bird flying... but here everybody is there to be beat, and in my opinion we should all be trying harder to beat each other, not knock them back when they try to join a club!!! On a final note, winning with racing pigeons in any type of competition only comes through hard work and dedication... the reason William is such a good all round flyer is because no expense has been spared in obtaining quality stock, fed and treated with the best of products, and a firm training schedule which gets the best out of his pigeons... just look at the results theres the proof. The SNRPC have done thereselves no favours in treating a fancier like this and hopefully some of the stronger heads within the club can turn this one around....

I only met W Hay at the Downfield show in Dundee and spoke briefly but he knows his stuff and seemed a very nice guy. Spoke his mind but was fair with his comments
