At what age do you wean ??? Or are you like me and think that it's better for them to be eating rather than a date, as each one develops at there own pace / rate ;)

I've had a yb from a fancier that was 18 days old when got it and was feeding better than a 21 day old from same loft ;)

I go by the development of the individual chick as in my experience there all growing at differant rates, when there eating drinking and flying about there then removed to young bird section but thats just me. :animatedpigeons:

As already said does not matter some have been taken away at 16 days because lost parents and hand reared but they have been eating at 17 days but this is the exception to the rule. I take mine away at 20 21 days keep an eye on them. Put then over just before dark. Check they have eaten next day dunk head into water once or twice. Hand feed a few beans or maples if they are not picking up. But not too much otherwise they will wait for you to feed them.

So feel the crop any food in water into bowl. Noting at all hand feed then water in bowl. Mjb
