Going to need guys who have been on the committee before to step up to the plate and turn the snfc round. Lanarkshire have shown with the correct people running the show it can become very successful. The greatest club in the land needs to be run properly and within budget. Good luck hope your agm goes well.

You another who want to join the happy mob Frank, more than welcome as there were none from the mighty Lanarkshire last year, plenty at the meeting making noises, but none willing to step up to the mark.

sub committee???? have they not learnt from the last time that it has to be a whole committee interviewing so as to stop favouritism .

I don't think that is practical; it's bad enough for an interview candidate with 4 people on the other side of the table - I think any candidate faced with 15 would find it intimidating.

It is disappointing Lanarkshire members never took up the delegate positions. Maybe they dont want to spend anytime talking to you:-) Ps. I dont keep pigeons anymore.

i think the snfc should replace all diplomas that were won this year because they are off such poor quality.

and replace them with the same standard as last year

Just opened my balance sheets and Diplomas, What a .*expletive removed* in disgrace this national is a joke between its web site and this fckin toilet paper this must be addressed.

That's the way it was done before the last lot, which included Gibbo, some of the committee decided to make it only 2 or 3 interviewing. By the way, I was strongly against this but certain members wanted Gibbo to represent the committee and interview the candidates. Nuff said

The diplomas are not worth an absolute fk!!!

Ah well you wont be disappointed if you don't win any this year then. I would treasure any diploma from the snfc because they are not easy to get. I agree the quality is poor this year but they have to cut costs somehow. I would happily pay an extra £1 on the fees to pay for better quality. In fact I would raise the fees to about £40 to get the club back where it belongs. There is far to much negativity about the snfc

I agree with ye Jade, every diploma is worth its weight in gold imo. I would except the last diploma in every national as they are very hard to come by. I once spoke to a top nat fancier in South Lanarkshire who was disappointed not getting in the top 12 from the west section. I was disgusted with his attitude as I found it very hard to get in the result and was delighted getting a minor prize, needless to say it came back on him and he couldn't buy a national diploma for many years after this. Cherish any diploma you get as I said before, its a tough sport with many ups and downs. The Diplomas undoubtedly are of poor quality this year but this does not take anything away from the pigeons performance.Good luck to all for 2014 :emoticon-0167-beer:

dont think for one minute putting dues up to 40 quid will make one hair of a difference in putting it back to were it belongs that imo comes down to one thing is the members and as far as the diplomas why not cut the cost in the yearly books go back to what they were in the past as i dont think they is a need for a book that size when it can be made smaller :animatedpigeons:

Just spoken to a very good friend who's had a phenomenal year in the SNFC, sadly his performances weren't reflected in the quality of the diplomas, could sense his disappointment in this.

We never gained any in 2013, just as well.....

Ps for the last few years all I have read is the best club in Scotland well giving out toilet paper for diplomas doesn't tell me that or anyone else

Aye George, yer partly right. It is the best club in Scotland ( once Britain ) but now we cant get the tradition back that was once admired by all. As I said before, this club should go back to basics and get the very best NATIONAL men possible to run it.
