So its high time we the members take decisions for the pigeons welfare, not saying that we have to pick pigeons up at 7am, but if marking was brought forward 3 hours then this could make all the difference. Eastern Pick-Up GRIMSBY/CLEETHORPES 6.45am to 8.00am KINGS LYNN 6.45am to 8.00am DONCASTER 7.30am to 9.00am HUCKNALL 9.00am to 10.30am ATHERSTONE 10.00am to 11.30am RAUNDS 9.00am to 11.00am SPALDING 7.30am to 8.30am Western Pick-Up CONNAH'S QUAY 6.45am to 8.00am LIVERPOOL 6.00am to 8.30am BOLTON 7.00am to 9.30am STOKE-ON-TRENT 8.00am to 10.30am PENKRIDGE 10.00am to 12.00 noon BROMSGROVE 10.30am to 12.30pm

Williedoo Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 The race ends on Monday 10.30 Aberdeen and about 13.00 Banff if any North Section fanciers are wondering.

DJWa Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 And fair play to you for making yourself available to get your pigeons away, time for the rest of us to follow with early pick ups (when required)do you think this will reduce the birdage with some members not able or willing to take time offI know that if you want birds away most folk will help each other in most cases but others wont bother due to the hassle
daviedoo22 Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 If you have to bring marking forward by a few hours or even a whole day, if it is beneficial to the birds then it should be done.Surely we wan't the best weather conditions for the birds. Mind you it has to be beneficial to the whole club. As for today? good luck to the North birds.
ovy1255 Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 weather in the n/east 4miles east of consett-------been a good but cold morning had some sun and while it was out it was nice.took a couple of pics --very little wind but cold enough to chill your cheeks-birds will definately feel it .hope your birds are ok in the feather.looking east looking west to pontop pike mast. looking northim1.bmpim2.bmpim3.bmp

Guest big slim Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 Good post gives us an idea what birds are coming through. Would be a good regular feature.
ovy1255 Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 another pic looking north --brave birds to home from leicester today--by the way leicester 157 mile to me.im4.bmp

Where there's a will there's a way.
BLACK W F Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 offcourse it will reduce the birdage but you cant have it booth ways ,it would be better for the birds but a lot of 7 to 5 workers would be fkdrab there is not a problem the only time a problem arises is when guys don't want to work around it when we basket early I either have a half day holiday or a holiday so if theres a will theres a way just always some folk want to see the negatives not positives
